Will Borgen D | NYR
Rangers' Will Borgen: Game-time decision Wednesday
Borgen (upper body) is expected to be a game-time decision against Carolina on Wednesday, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
Borgen hasn't been in the lineup for five of the Rangers' past six games. He has a goal, three points, 26 hits and 24 blocks in 19 outings in 2025-26. Urho Vaakanainen might be a healthy scratch Wednesday if Borgen is ready to return.

Simon Edvinsson D | DET
Red Wings' Simon Edvinsson: Won't play Wednesday
Edvinsson (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Predators, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports.

Erik Gudbranson D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Remains out
Gudbranson (hip) will remain out of the lineup when the Blue Jackets face Toronto on Wednesday, per Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch.
Gudbranson hasn't played since Oct. 25, and he might not be close to returning. When he is available, Gudbranson will be an option for the third pairing, but there's no guarantee he'll consistently be in the lineup.

Zach Werenski D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Slated to play Wednesday
Werenski (upper body) is expected to play Wednesday against Toronto, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.
Werenski sustained an upper-body injury during Monday's 5-1 loss to Washington, but the issue won't cause him to miss a game. He has seven goals and 21 points in 23 outings this year. Look for him to serve on the top pairing and first power-play unit Wednesday.

Travis Mitchell D | NYI
Islanders' Travis Mitchell: Called up Wednesday
Mitchell was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Wednesday.
Mitchell joins the 23-man roster in exchange for Marshall Warren, who was sent down Monday. Even with his promotion, the 26-year-old Mitchell is far from a lock to play in Wednesday's clash with the Bruins. If Mitchell does play, it will likely come at the expense of Adam Boqvist.

Ty Emberson D | EDM
Oilers' Ty Emberson: Pockets assist Tuesday
Emberson notched an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Stars.
Emberson ended his eight-game point drought with a helper on Connor Clattenburg's first NHL tally. The 25-year-old Emberson has been scratched five times in November, though he should have a steady path to playing time as long as Jake Walman (undisclosed) is out. Emberson has four points, 15 shots on net, 29 hits, 32 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 20 appearances this season, mainly in a third-pairing role.
-
Evan Bouchard D | EDM
Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Pots goal in loss
Bouchard scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Stars.
Bouchard has two goals and nine assists over his last nine games, and this was the first time in that span he's taken a minus rating (minus-1). The 26-year-old defenseman's improved offense lately hasn't made up for the team's struggling play overall. Bouchard is at four goals, 21 points, 68 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 25 appearances.

Kolyachonok helped out on a Justin Hryckowian tally in the third period. Through four contests, Kolyachonok has a helper, four shots on net, one hit, one blocked shot and a minus-1 rating. The 24-year-old is filling in on the third pairing while the Stars are missing Thomas Harley (lower body), Nils Lundkvist (lower body) and Ilya Lyubushkin (undisclosed).

K'Andre Miller D | CAR
Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Absent from practice
Miller (undisclosed) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice after getting banged up in Sunday's 4-1 loss to Buffalo, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
It's unclear if Miller will be available to play against the Rangers on Wednesday, but head coach Rod Brind'Amour is hopeful that the 25-year-old defender will be in the lineup. Miller has accounted for two goals, 10 points, 34 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and 23 hits across 16 appearances this season.
