  • Stars' Ilya Lyubushkin: Adds helper in win

Lyubushkin generated an assist in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Jets in Game 1.

Lyubushkin remains warm on offense with three assists over his last four games. That's all of his point production this postseason, to go with nine shots on net, eight hits, eight blocked shots and a minus-5 rating across eight outings. Lyubushkin continues to offer more upside as a stay-at-home blueliner, so don't expect his surge on offense to last.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Earns assist in Game 1 win

Harley logged an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Jets in Game 1.

Harley set up the second of Mikko Rantanen's three goals in the game. The 23-year-old Harley has gotten on the scoresheet in six of eight playoff contests. He's at two goals, four assists, 12 shots on net, 24 blocked shots, 11 hits and a minus-4 rating. The blueliner continues to see big minutes in a top-four role and on the power play, and he has the production to match.

  • Jets' Logan Stanley: Out for series opener

Stanley (undisclosed) won't play in Wednesday's Game 1 versus the Stars, John Lu of TSN reports.

This will be Stanley's second game in a row out of the lineup. The defenseman had no points and racked up 10 hits, six blocked shots and 42 PIM over five appearances in the first round versus the Blues. Colin Miller and Haydn Fleury are both expected to play Wednesday while Stanley and Josh Morrissey (upper body) sit out.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Missing Game 1

Morrissey (upper body) won't play in Wednesday's Game 1 versus the Stars, John Lu of TSN reports.

Morrissey was considered a game-time decision but was in a non-contact jersey during Tuesday's optional skate. The 30-year-old defenseman will be forced to miss at least one game after suffering the injury in Game 7 of the first round versus the Blues. Haydn Fleury is set to be in the lineup to cover Morrissey's absence.

  • Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Labeled day-to-day

Pietrangelo (illness) is considered day-to-day ahead of Game 2 versus the Oilers on Thursday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Pietrangelo was sidelined for Game 1 against Edmonton due to an illness and remains in doubt ahead of Game 2. In his last seven outings, the 35-year-old blueliner has notched one goal, two assists and nine shots while averaging 22:28 of ice time. If Pietrangelo returns Thursday, Kaedan Korczak will likely return to his spot in the press box.

  • Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Officially ruled out for Game 1

Heiskanen (knee) will not be available for Game 1 against the Jets on Wednesday, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Heiskanen has been on the shelf since Jan. 28 versus Vegas due to his knee injury, a stretch of 39 games on the sidelines. The blueliner has been traveling with the team and skating, but he still hasn't been cleared to play. If Heiskanen can return in the postseason, he figures to see heavy minutes in addition to taking a spot on the No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Contributes power-play assist

Theodore provided a power-play assist, three shots on goal, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 1.

Theodore's shot was tipped twice, with William Karlsson getting a piece before Mark Stone deflected it in for the opening goal at 2:13 of the first period. Through seven playoff outings, Theodore has five points, four of which have come on the power play. He's added 18 shots, 11 blocks and a minus-4 rating. While he should still be able to make an impact on offense, Theodore will be seeing heavy defensive minutes against the Oilers' top forwards throughout the second round.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Adds two helpers in win

Bouchard notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 1.

Bouchard has been all or nothing in the playoffs. He has four multi-point efforts and three scoreless outings this postseason, totaling four goals, five assists, 23 shots on net, eight blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating. Just two of those points have come on the power play -- his pair of goals in Game 3 of the first round versus the Kings -- so there's still potentially another level for the defenseman to reach. Bouchard is a lock to play big minutes throughout the playoffs.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Capitals' John Carlson: Assists in back-to-back games

Carlson picked up an assist in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 1.

Carlson is warming up with a point in each of his last two games; both were assists. The whole Caps squad, save for Logan Thompson in net, was pretty much missing in action Tuesday. Carlson will be counted on for leadership to help kickstart the squad for Game 2, or the Caps won't have a chance in this series. That's how good the Canes were Tuesday.

  • Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Three-game, three-point streak

Slavin scored the game-winning goal in overtime Tuesday in a 2-1 win over the Capitals in Game 1.

He won it with a shot from the right point that found its way through traffic and under Logan Thompson's right pad at 3:06 of the extra frame. Slavin is a defender that every other team would love to have on its top pairing, but he's not a natural point getter. Still, he's on a three-game, three-point scoring streak that includes two goals and 14 shots. Slavin is tied with Shayne Gostisbehere as the Canes' top scorer from the blue line this postseason.
