  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Six-point stunner in win

Makar scored twice on three shots, added four assists and went plus-3 in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Sharks.

Makar has already done remarkable things in his career, but this was one of his best individual games yet. He tallied a power-play goal in the first period and the Avalanche's last marker in the third, and one of his four helpers also came with the man advantage. The 26-year-old blueliner also reached the 300-assist mark in his career Thursday. He has five goals, 11 assists and 34 shots on net over his last eight outings, and he's up to 24 goals, 74 points, 195 shots on net, 98 blocked shots and a plus-21 rating through 63 appearances this season.

  • Jake Walman D | EDM

Oilers' Jake Walman: Heading north in trade

Walman was traded to the Oilers from the Sharks on Thursday in exchange for Carl Berglund and a conditional 2026 first-round pick.

The pick is top-12 protected, and would transfer to 2027 in the unlikely event the Oilers get such a high pick in 2026. If the Oilers deal away their 2027 first-rounder, the 2026 pick would go to the Sharks automatically. Walman bolsters the left side of the Edmonton defense, and he could pair with Evan Bouchard or former Sharks teammate Ty Emberson. Walman has contributed a career-high 32 points over 50 appearances this season as the leader on San Jose's blue line, but his move to a contender will likely lower his ice time and his scoring output, so fantasy managers may want to have a backup plan in place for their defense corps.

  • Lane Hutson D | MON

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Collects helper in overtime loss

Hutson notched an assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers.

Hutson has earned a goal and seven helpers during his six-game point streak, which started Feb. 22 when play resumed following the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 21-year-old blueliner kept the streak going when he set up a Joel Armia tally in the second period. Hutson has scored at a tremendous level for a rookie defenseman, earning four goals, 45 assists, 70 shots on net, 87 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating through 62 appearances.

  • Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Four-game, five-point streak

Dahlin scored a goal and added an assist in a 6-5 loss to Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Dahlin scored the Sabres' first goal in the first period when he took control of the puck in the neutral zone and snapped a wrist shot past Andrei Vasilevskiy on the glove side. Dahlin sits fourth on the scoring list for NHL defenders. He has 51 points, and he's currently on a four-game, five-point scoring streak (two goals, three assists).

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Pair of points in overtime win

Bouchard scored the game-winning goal on two shots, added a power-play assist and logged two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens.

Bouchard set up Leon Draisaitl's second-period tally. Late in overtime, Bouchard cashed in with seven seconds on the clock to secure the win for the Oilers after they blew two previous leads. The defenseman has five points over his last five games, four of which have come on the power play. He's up to 11 goals, 49 points (20 on the power play), 182 shots on net, 87 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating through 62 appearances this season.

  • Matt Dumba D | PIT

Stars' Matt Dumba: Nabs helper in comeback win

Dumba logged an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flames.

Dumba helped spark the comeback effort by assisting on Wyatt Johnston's goal to get the Stars on the board in the second period. The helper ended a five-game dry spell for Dumba. The defenseman is now at six assists, 32 shots on net, 52 hits, 44 blocked shots, 52 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 43 appearances this season. He continues to play in a third-pairing role.

  • Josh Mahura D | SEA

Kraken's Josh Mahura: Posts assist Thursday

Mahura recorded an assist and three hits in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Predators.

Mahura has two helpers over six games since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, matching his output from the 12 games prior to the pause in the schedule. The 26-year-old blueliner remains on the Kraken's third pairing, and he's likely to finish the year there unless he gets traded Friday. He won't carry much appeal on the market or in fantasy with just eight assists to go with 50 shots on net, 70 hits, 40 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 51 appearances.

  • Vince Dunn D | SEA

Kraken's Vince Dunn: Slings helper in loss

Dunn posted an assist, three shots on goal, three blocked shots and two hits in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Predators.

Dunn set up Adam Larsson for the game's opening goal just 32 seconds in. With a goal and three helpers over his last four outings, Dunn has been steady on offense. The 28-year-old defenseman is up to 29 points, 100 shots on net, 52 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating through 43 contests this season. While a long shot, he could still reach the 40-point mark for the third year in a row with a strong finish to the campaign.

  • Adam Larsson D | SEA

Kraken's Adam Larsson: Tallies early in loss

Larsson scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Predators.

Larsson has scored in back-to-back games and has five points over his last seven contests. The 32-year-old defenseman can't keep up that pace for the rest of the season, and considering he's gone eight games without logging multiple hits, he's not doing enough physically to entice fantasy managers in deep formats. The blueliner has five goals, 17 points, 79 shots on net, 120 blocked shots, 78 hits and a plus-9 rating across 63 appearances.

  • Ducks' Oliver Kylington: Immediately traded again

Kylington was traded to the Ducks from the Islanders on Thursday in exchange for future considerations.

Kylington's tenure as an Islander lasted all of 15 minutes after he was packaged from the Avalanche as part of the return for Brock Nelson. It appears the Islanders were not interested in keeping him around -- they already have eight healthy blueliners on the roster, and Mike Reilly (chest) is expected to be back before the end of the season. Kylington will have a much better chance of getting into the lineup in Anaheim than he did in Colorado or he would have on Long Island, especially after the Ducks dealt Brian Dumoulin to the Devils earlier Thursday. Kylington has four points through 13 NHL appearances this season.
