Wild's Jonas Brodin: Not going on road trip

Brodin (lower body) won't accompany the Wild on the team's upcoming four-game road trip, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports Tuesday.

Brodin has missed the last nine games and may not return before the 4 Nations Face-Off. He has compiled four goals, 16 points, 54 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and 17 hits through 31 appearances this season. Once healthy, Brodin could bump Jon Merrill or Declan Chisholm from the lineup.

  • Tyson Barrie D | CGY

Flames' Tyson Barrie: Finishes conditioning stint

Barrie was recalled from AHL Calgary on Tuesday.

Barrie was sent to the Wranglers on a conditioning stint Jan. 24, but he's back with the big club in short order. The right-shot blueliner hasn't made an appearance with the Flames since Nov. 12 in Vancouver. Per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan, Barrie might replace Daniil Miromanov in the lineup Tuesday.

  • Dante Fabbro D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Dante Fabbro: Dealing with illness

Fabbro (illness) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Fabbro still has time to recover before Thursday's clash with Vegas. He has generated four goals, 12 points, 49 shots on net, 95 blocked shots and 41 hits across 40 games between Columbus and Nashville this season. If Fabbro can't play against the Golden Knights, Jordan Harris or Jack Johnson are replacement options.

  • Bruins' Brandon Carlo: Game-time call

Carlo (illness) will be a game-time decision against Buffalo on Tuesday, according to Heather Engel of NHL.com.

Carlo was absent from Boston's morning skate. He has produced one goal, six assists, 52 shots on net, 103 blocked shots and 52 hits through 51 appearances this season. If Carlo can't play, Jordan Oesterle will presumably suit up against the Sabres.

  • Kevin Gravel D | NSH

Predators' Kevin Gravel: Brought up from minors

Gravel was recalled from AHL Milwaukee on Tuesday.

With Nashville having only six healthy defensemen on its roster, Gravel will probably serve as the club's seventh blueliner in Wednesday's home contest against Vancouver. Gravel has collected an assist and a plus-2 rating over three appearances with the Predators this season.

  • Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Will play Tuesday

Contrary to a prior report, Mayfield is healthy and will be in the lineup Tuesday versus the Avalanche, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Mayfield will avoid missing his second game of the campaign. The right-shot blueliner should skate alongside Adam Pelech on the top pairing Tuesday.

  • Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Game-time call

Mayfield (illness) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's home matchup against Colorado, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

If Mayfield is unable to play Tuesday, Dennis Cholowski would draw back into the lineup. Mayfield has contributed two goals, five assists and a plus-13 rating over 47 games in 2024-25.

  • Tyler Myers D | DAL

Canucks' Tyler Myers: Strong showing in return

Myers scored an empty-net goal and added a shorthanded assist, five shots on net, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blues.

Making his return from a three-game absence due to a suspension, Myers played a big role in Vancouver's road win. The veteran blueliner has had a productive January despite the disciplinary break, picking up two goals and seven points in 10 appearances along with 21 blocked shots, 18 shots on net, 11 hits and 25 PIM.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Two helpers Monday

Ristolainen notched two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 4-2 win over the Devils.

The veteran blueliner helped set up tallies by Bobby Brink in the first period and Garnet Hathaway in the second as the Flyers built a 3-0 lead. The power-play point was only Ristolainen's second of the season, but both of them have come in January, as he's taken on a larger role with the man advantage. Through 13 appearances this month, he's delivered a goal and six points with 23 shots on net, 23 hits, 22 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-6 rating.

  • Lightning's Declan Carlile: Promoted from AHL

Carlile was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Monday.

Carlile is poised to replace Emil Lilleberg, who received a two-game suspension Monday, in the lineup for home matchups against the Blackhawks on Tuesday and the Kings on Thursday. The 24-year-old Carlile will most likely skate on the third pairing beside Nick Perbix. Carlile found the back of the net on his only shot in one appearance with the Lightning this season.
