Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Set to start Thursday
Hellebuyck is slated to start Thursday's home game against the Panthers, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Hellebuyck got the night off in the second half of a back-to-back set Tuesday against St. Louis, but he'll return to the crease Thursday for the sixth time in the Jets' last seven games. Across his last five outings, he's gone 3-1-1 with a 2.79 GAA and .905 save percentage.

Elvis Merzlikins G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Backing up Thursday
Merzlikins (illness) is well enough Thursday to back up Jet Greaves versus Dallas, according to Columbus sports reporter Dave Maetzold.
Merzlikins was forced to leave Tuesday's tilt versus Ottawa after the first stanza due to his illness. Merzlikins was saddled with the loss, giving up two goals on seven shots in a 4-1 defeat. He is 8-8-1 with a 3.81 GAA and an .882 save percentage across 18 games this season.

Joonas Korpisalo G | BOS
Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Facing Golden Knights
Korpisalo will patrol the home crease versus Vegas on Thursday, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.
Korpisalo has won his last three starts, giving up three goals on 80 shots in victories over Calgary, Pittsburgh and Chicago. He is 9-8-0 with a 3.09 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 19 outings this season. The Golden Knights are sixth in NHL scoring this season, tallying 3.33 goals per game.

Sam Montembeault G | MON
Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Between pipes Thursday
Montembeault will defend the home crease versus Buffalo on Thursday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Montembeault is 4-0-1 in his last five starts, allowing 15 goals on 160 shots (.906 save percentage). Montembeault is 9-6-2 with the Canadiens this season and while his record is good, his peripherals of a 3.44 GAA and an .873 save percentage are not. The Sabres are scoring 3.27 goals per game, tied for 10th with Ottawa this season.

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Projected starter Thursday
Greaves is slated to guard the home cage versus Dallas on Thursday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Greaves has won his last two starts and came on in relief Tuesday versus the Senators, turning aside 12 of 13 shots. Overall, the 24-year-old netminder is 14-12-6 with a 2.70 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 33 appearances this season. The Stars are tied for seventh in NHL scoring, generating 3.32 goals per game in 2025-26.

Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Keeps winning streak alive
Vejmelka stopped 25 of 29 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Flyers.
Vejmelka has been on fire of late and has won each of his last seven starts, and nine of his last 10 dating back to Dec. 21. Over that 10-game sample, Vejmelka has given up more than three goals just twice while posting a 2.29 GAA and an impressive .912 save percentage. Fantasy managers should continue to trust Vejmelka every time he steps on the ice, even if his winning streak looks bound to come to an end sooner rather than later.

Samuel Ersson G | PHI
Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Beaten five times Wednesday
Ersson stopped 22 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Mammoth.
Ersson was beaten twice in the second period, twice more in the third, and later midway through overtime. He's been slumping of late and has lost in four of his six outings in January, going 1-3-1 with a 4.30 GAA and a disappointing .828 save percentage. With Dan Vladar (lower body) nearing a return to action, Ersson will likely lose his starting role, and fantasy managers would be wise to look at other options between the pipes, given how much the 26-year-old Swede has been struggling in recent weeks.
-
Scott Wedgewood G | COL
Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Beaten once in shootout loss
Wedgewood stopped 16 of 17 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Wedgewood has posted a 3-2-1 record in six appearances in January, but he's been far better than his record indicates. He's yet to allow more than three goals in any of those outings and has posted a save percentage above the .900 mark four times. Fantasy managers should continue to trust him every time he's tabbed to start regardless of the opposition.
-
Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Delivers 40-save performance
Dostal stopped 40 of 41 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Avalanche.
Dostal played a key role in the shootout win Wednesday, and he was only beaten by a snap shot from Artturi Lehkonen in the third frame. Dostal has posted a save percentage of at least .925 in three of his last four starts and owns a 2.69 GAA, as well as a 4-3-0 record and a .910 save percentage, across eight outings in January.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Tough loss in Vancouver
Thompson allowed four goals on 25 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks.
Considering the opponent, this wasn't a great loss to take for Thompson. It's worse than it looks as well, as the Capitals scored the first two goals of the game before the Canucks worked their way back into it. Thompson has lost three straight games, surrendering 10 goals on 80 shots in that span. He's down to a 17-15-4 record with a 2.43 GAA and a .913 save percentage over 36 starts. The Capitals have a back-to-back on the schedule next, visiting the Flames on Friday and the Oilers on Saturday, so look for Thompson and Charlie Lindgren to split those games.
