John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Starting Saturday
Gibson will defend the road goal in Washington on Saturday, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports.
Gibson has been sensational the last six games, winning all of them while giving up 12 goals on 185 shots (.935 save percentage). Overall, Gibson is 10-7-1 with a 3.07 GAA and an .890 save percentage across 19 appearances. The Capitals are coming off a 4-0 win at home over Toronto on Thursday and are sixth in NHL scoring, averaging 3.24 goals per contest.

Connor Ingram G | EDM
Oilers' Connor Ingram: Expected to be recalled
Ingram is slated to be recalled by the Oilers, Mark Spector of Sportsnet reports Friday.
The Oilers are finishing up a road trip in Minnesota on Saturday and have sent Tristan Jarry (lower body) home to be evaluated by their medical staff after he was hurt Thursday in Boston. Ingram has struggled this season at the AHL level, posting a 4-5-2 record with a 4.04 GAA and an .856 save percentage across 11 appearances with Bakersfield. He had his worst performance of the season Saturday, allowing seven goals on 27 shots in an overtime win over Tucson. He is expected to back up Calvin Pickard on Saturday and could possibly start at home Sunday versus Vegas.

Tristan Jarry G | EDM
Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Set for further evaluation
Jarry (lower body) is traveling back to Edmonton to undergo further evaluation, Mark Spector of Sportsnet reports Friday.
Jarry, who was injured in Thursday's clash with the Bruins, will not be available for at least Saturday's matchup with Minnesota, though it seems likely that he will be on the shelf for Sunday's home clash with Vegas as well. With Jarry on the sidelines, Calvin Pickard will likely get the nod against the Wild while Connor Ingram is expected to be recalled to serve as the backup.

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Gives up three goals
Lyon allowed three goals on 27 shots in a 5-3 victory over the Flyers on Thursday.
Lyon is riding a four-game winning streak during which he has posted a 2.44 GAA and .916 save percentage. With the 33-year-old backstop rolling, the Sabres could decide to use him in two of his next three games before the Christmas break, with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen the likely starter in the other contest.
-
Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Nabs second straight win
Dobes made 14 saves in Thursday's 4-1 win over Chicago.
The 24-year-old netminder was far from busy, but he shut the door on the visitors after Frank Nazar redirected a puck past him midway through the first period to open the scoring. Dobes has won two straight starts and four of six outings in December as he settles into a timeshare with Jacob Fowler, posting a stellar 2.21 GAA and .908 save percentage so far this month.
-
Spencer Knight G | CHI
Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Fades late against Habs
Knight turned aside 31 of 34 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Montreal.
The game was tied 1-1 heading into the third period, but Zachary Bolduc deflected home a Lane Hutson point shot just 20 seconds into the final frame, and Chicago never recovered. Knight has now lost three straight starts and four of his last five. Through seven outings in December, he's gone 2-4-1 with a 2.71 GAA and .903 save percentage while getting fewer than two goals of offensive support a game during that stretch -- a circumstance that likely isn't going to improve any time soon while Connor Bedard (upper body) is on the shelf.
-
Samuel Ersson G | PHI
Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Suffers loss Thursday
Ersson allowed four goals on 27 shots in a 5-3 defeat to the Sabres on Thursday.
Ersson is currently mired in a three-game losing streak during which he has posted a 0-2-1 record to go with a 3.31 GAA. At this point, the 26-year-old netminder has fallen behind Dan Vladar as the No. 1 option for the Flyers. As such, fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect Ersson to reach the 20-win threshold this year, a mark he hit in each of the last two campaigns.
-
Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Another tough loss Thursday
Greaves stopped 23 of 26 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Wild, with Minnesota's final two goals getting scored into an empty net.
Two of the pucks that got past Greaves were tap-ins from right on his doorstep, while the other saw Vladimir Tarasenko complete a tic-tac-toe passing play on a 3-on-2 rush by the Wild. The 24-year-old netminder has given up three goals or fewer in six straight appearances, but he has just a 1-5-0 record to show for his 2.65 GAA and .912 save percentage over that stretch. Greaves appears to be locking down the top spot in the Columbus crease, but without more offensive support, his fantasy value will remain shaky.

Sergei Bobrovsky G | FLA
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Between pipes Friday
Bobrovsky will patrol the home crease versus Carolina on Friday, per George Richards of Florida Hockey Now.
Bobrovsky has won four straight games, though his save percentage has been spotty, allowing 11 goals on 104 shots (.894 save percentage). The 37-year-old netminder is 14-8-1 with three shutouts, a 2.80 GAA and an .888 save percentage across 23 appearances this season. The Hurricanes are fifth in NHL scoring, generating 3.27 goals per game.

Jesper Wallstedt G | MIN
Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Secures 10th win
Wallstedt made 27 saves in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
The game was tight through two periods, but the Wild blew things open in the third while Wallstedt turned aside all 10 shots he saw in the final frame. The 23-year-old netminder continues to dazzle, posting a 10-1-2 record through 13 starts this season with a 1.96 GAA and .936 save percentage, but those numbers have only been good enough to earn him a timeshare alongside Filip Gustavsson, who's also been locked in (7-1-2 over his last 10 starts with a 1.67 GAA and .935 save percentage).
