Mitchell Gibson G | WAS
Capitals' Mitchell Gibson: Loaned to AHL Hershey
Gibson was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Friday.
Gibson was outstanding in ECHL action this season, going 12-1-0 with a 1.75 GAA and a .933 save percentage over 14 regular-season appearances. He also played one game at the AHL level, stopping 26 of 28 shots in a 6-2 regular-season win over Springfield.

Clay Stevenson G | WAS
Capitals' Clay Stevenson: Returns to minors
Stevenson was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Friday.
Stevenson was with the Capitals because Charlie Lindgren (personal) was questionable for Game 5 against Carolina on Thursday, but Lindgren ended up serving as the backup goaltender while Logan Thompson got the start. Washington lost that game 3-1 and was eliminated from the playoffs, so Stevenson will return to Hershey. The 26-year-old had a 2.94 GAA and an .888 save percentage across 33 regular-season outings with the minor-league squad.

Sergei Bobrovsky G | FLA
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: In goal Friday
Bobrovsky will get the starting nod at home in Game 6 against the Leafs on Friday, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Bobrovsky has given up just one goal on 55 shots (.982 save percentage) over back-to-back outings, putting up some of his best performances of the postseason. At this point, the Cats aren't going to put anybody else in the crease even if the Russian backstop stumbles in Game 6. As long as he's healthy, it's Bobrovsky's crease the rest of the postseason.

Calvin Pickard G | EDM
Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Will miss start of series
Pickard (undisclosed) won't be available for the start of the Western Conference Finals, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports Friday.
Based on the timeline for both Pickard and Mattias Ekholm (undisclosed), fantasy players should probably be expecting Pickard to at least miss Games 1 and 2 -- though it could certainly be longer. With the backstop on the shelf, a resurgent Stuart Skinner figures to get the starting nod for those contests. Even if healthy, Pickard may struggle to take back the No. 1 gig after Skinner posted back-to-back shutouts versus the Golden Knights.

Joseph Woll G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Between pipes Friday
Woll will defend the visiting crease for Game 6 in Florida on Friday, per Mark Masters of TSN.
Woll was outstanding in Game 4, stopping 35 shots in a 2-0 loss, and held the Panthers to a lone goal in the first period on 13 shots in Game 5, keeping the Maple Leafs in the game. However, Woll gave up four goals on 12 shots over the next two frames, before he was pulled in favor of Matt Murray in the third period. Woll is 2-3 with a 4.02 GAA and an .877 save percentage across five playoff appearances. The Panthers are generating 3.90 goals per game in the postseason, the second-best mark among teams remaining.

Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Extends season with shutout win
Hellebuyck posted a 22-save shutout in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Stars in Game 5.
This was Hellebuyck's second shutout in a row on home ice, which made for a good rebound after he lost both of the previous two games of the series in Dallas. The 31-year-old has had extreme home/road splits this postseason, going 6-1 with 13 goals allowed on 154 shots (.916 save percentage) at home while posting an 0-5 record, a 5.84 GAA and a .793 save percentage on the road. He'll have to face those road demons in Game 6 on Saturday, as the Jets are still facing elimination.

Jake Oettinger G | DAL
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Gives up three goals in loss
Oettinger allowed three goals on 34 shots in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Jets in Game 5. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Oettinger wasn't able to take his home success on the road, though he was not the problem in this contest. The Jets capitalized on two power plays, and their one even-strength tally against Oettinger came on a double-deflection. Still, it's a little frustrating to see the 26-year-old unable to close out a series at the first opportunity for the fourth time in the last two postseasons. He's a virtual lock to start Saturday's Game 6 in Dallas, where he is 5-1 this postseason, and it's important to note the Jets have yet to win a road game during these playoffs.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Can't deliver miracle for team
Thompson made 18 saves in a 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 5 on Thursday.
Thompson was brilliant early when he made a lunging save with 36 seconds left in the first to preserve the tie, but he should've stopped the eventual game winner. Andrei Svechnikov somehow put the puck in from below the right circle with 1:59 remaining. "It's my job to find the lane and get my eyes on it, and he sifted it through. It was a terrible goal to give up to end a season, and I've got to wear that," said Thompson after the game, per Tom Gulitti of NHL.com. "I'm an adult. That's on me, and I can be better." Thompson finished the postseason with a 5-5 record, 2.41 GAA and .917 save percentage in 10 starts.
-
Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Dominating play continues in Game 5
Andersen made 18 saves in a 3-1 win over Washington on Thursday in Game 5.
Anthony Beauvillier was the only member of the Capitals to beat him, and he didn't have much of a chance on the goal. A Canes defender attempted to rim the puck around his own net, but the puck caromed off the end boards and right to Beauvillier, who was at the top of the crease. He went five-hole on Andersen. The Great Dane has won three consecutive games, and he's 7-2 with a 1.36 GAA and .937 save percentage in nine starts.

Jake Oettinger G | DAL
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Tending twine in Game 5
Oettinger will be in goal on the road in Game 5 versus the Jets on Thursday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
Oettinger has been excellent in the second round, going 3-1 with a 2.02 GAA and a .929 save percentage over four games. He's got a chance Thursday to secure advancement to the Western Conference Finals if he can come away with his third road win of the playoffs.
