  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Fourth career playoff shutout

Bobrovsky made 19 saves in a 2-0 win over the Lightning in Game 2 on Thursday.

It was Bobrovsky's fourth career postseason shutout, and it was his first since he and the kitties beat the Oilers 3-0 in Game 1 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals. He made several great saves to preserve the lead. Late in the second, Bobrovsky stoned Brayden Point who was alone in the slot. And then he made a sparkling glove save on an open-look slapper by J.J. Moser from the right circle with 3:27 left in the game. The Panthers lead the series 2-0, with Game 3 in Sunrise on Saturday afternoon.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Set to start in Game 3

Binnington is expected to start at home against Winnipeg for Game 3 on Thursday, per Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Binnington and the Blues will attempt to get back into the win column after dropping the first two games of the series. He stopped 41 of 47 shots (.872 save percentage) over that stretch. Binnington also had a 28-22-5 record, 2.69 GAA and .900 save percentage in 56 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Winnipeg was tied for third during the regular season in goals per game with 3.35.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Guarding goal in Game 3

Hellebuyck will start Thursday's Game 3 on the road versus the Blues, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Hellebuyck has allowed four goals on 39 shots over the first two games of the series. He's won six consecutive contests dating back to an April 7 win over the Blues in the regular season. Hellebuyck will continue to be the backbone of the Jets' lineup, and he should give them a chance to be competitive every game.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Getting Game 3 start

Ullmark will start at home versus the Maple Leafs in Game 3 on Thursday, per TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Ullmark has lost the first two games of the series, but he'll try to get back on track on home ice. He's allowed nine goals on 45 shots (.800 save percentage) to open the postseason, though the Senators' lack of discipline has been a major problem against a dangerous Toronto power play.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: In goal Thursday

Bobrovsky will protect the road goal in Thursday's Game 2 versus the Lightning, Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site reports.

Bobrovsky stopped 20 of 22 shots in Tuesday's Game 1 win, and he'll look to stretch the Panthers' lead again Thursday. The 36-year-old is 3-3-0 with a 2.36 GAA and an .896 save percentage over six outings in April.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Set to start Game 3

Gustavsson will start Thursday's Game 3 at home against the Golden Knights, Vegas Hockey Now reports.

After taking the loss in Game 1 of Minnesota's first-round series, Gustavsson bounced back in Game 2, turning aside 30 of 32 shots (.938 save percentage) en route to the win. He'll attempt to stay effective as the series shifts to Minnesota on Thursday.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Set to face Minnesota in Game 3

Hill is expected to start on the road against Minnesota for Game 3 on Thursday, per Hannah Kirkell of Vegas Hockey Now.

Hill allowed four goals on just 16 shots en route to a 5-2 loss against the Wild in Game 2 on Tuesday, which evened the first-round series at 1-1. He had a 2.47 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 50 outings during the 2024-25 regular season. Minnesota finished the regular season 25th in goals per game with 2.74.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Starting in Game 3

Stolarz will defend the road crease in Game 3 against Ottawa on Thursday, Mark Masters of TSN reports.

Stolarz has been effective to begin the postseason, picking up back-to-back wins while posting a 1.95 GAA and .934 save percentage over the first two games of the first-round series. He's in the midst of a 10-game winning streak dating back to the regular season, a span that includes three shutout wins. Across that 10-game span, he's posted a 1.48 GAA and .947 save percentage.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Impressive in Game 2 win

Thompson stopped 25 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Canadiens in Game 2.

For the second game in a row, Thompson looked impressive between the posts and limited the damage to a minimum. He was beaten in the early stages of the second period by Christian Dvorak, but he protected the crease effectively the rest of the way and was at his best in the third period when he stopped all of the Canadiens' 14 shots. Thompson will aim to continue his winning ways when the series shifts to Montreal for Game 3 on Friday.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Makes 29 saves in Game 2 loss

Montembeault stopped 29 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals in Game 2. The third goal was an empty-netter with two seconds left in the third period.

Montembeault has lost his first two playoff appearances, though that has been more due to the lack of offensive support than to the 28-year-old struggling between the posts. He's stopped 58 of the 63 shots he's faced in the series, and he'll hope to get back to winning ways when the series returns to Montreal for Game 3 on Friday.
