  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Between pipes Saturday

Ersson will patrol the home crease versus Carolina on Saturday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Ersson returned to the win column Thursday, stopping 17 of 20 shots in a 4-3 shootout win over Tampa Bay. Ersson is 19-12-4 with a 2.96 GAA and an .888 save percentage over 38 appearances in 2024-25. The Hurricanes have won six games in a row and are generating 3.21 goals per game, ninth in the league this season.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Yields three goals in loss

Vejmelka allowed three goals on 21 shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Vejmelka allowed a goal in each period, squandering the 2-1 lead Utah took early in the middle frame. Over six contests in March, Vejmelka has gone 2-2-2 with 17 goals allowed on 162 shots. He's now 18-17-6 with a 2.49 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 43 appearances this season. Utah is likely to keep turning to Vejmelka, though Jaxson Stauber could get a spot start on occasion while Connor Ingram is away from the team in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program. Utah's road trip continues in Vancouver on Sunday.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Wins again Friday

Grubauer stopped 23 of 25 shots in Friday's 4-2 win over Utah.

Grubauer's time with AHL Coachella Valley looks to have served him well to get back on track. He's allowed just three goals on 49 shots over two starts, both wins, since returning from the minor-league club March 2. The 33-year-old could help alleviate Joey Daccord's workload down the stretch -- Daccord's performance has started to crater under heavy usage, and Grubauer may just be the hot hand currently. For the season, Grubauer is 7-15-1 with a 3.61 GAA and an .872 save percentage over 23 appearances. Even if he's able to claim a larger role, fantasy managers may want to proceed with caution.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Slips up in low-scoring loss

Saros stopped 13 of 15 shots in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Ducks.

The Predators nearly doubled up the Ducks' shot total (29-15), but the goal column didn't reflect it. Saros allowed one tally off a turnover to Troy Terry, and a little playmaking magic from Trevor Zegras to Alex Killorn produced the decisive goal. The 29-year-old Saros saw his three-game winning streak snapped despite the light workload Friday. He's at 16-26-6 with a 2.92 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 49 appearances this season. He'll likely get a breather Saturday, as Justus Annunen should start versus the Kings to close out this back-to-back set that wraps up Nashville's road trip through California.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Sharp in 20th win

Dostal stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday's 2-1 win over the Predators.

Dostal has won four of his last seven outings after this strong performance, a bounce-back effort following his six-goal loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. The 24-year-old netminder is up to 20-17-5 with a 2.86 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 42 outings this season. Dostal continues to handle a heavy workload due to John Gibson (lower body) being sidelined. The Ducks begin a three-game road trip with a stop in St. Louis on Sunday.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Keeps it close in loss

Wolf stopped 24 of 27 shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Wolf gave up a goal in each period, but he did a decent job of keeping things close against a tough opponent. The Avalanche's top players were largely held in check, but their depth players accounted for all three goals on Wolf's line. The 23-year-old netminder has gone 2-2-2 over his last six games, but he's allowed just 13 goals on 167 shots in that span, so his performance is better than the record indicates. For the season, he's at a 22-13-5 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 40 starts. The Flames embark on a four-game road trip next week, beginning Monday in Toronto for the first half of a back-to-back set.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Gives up two goals in win

Wedgewood allowed two goals on 24 shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Flames.

Wedgewood gave up both goals in the third period, but the Avalanche were able to answer each of those tallies in short order. This was Wedgewood's third straight win in March, and he's allowed just three goals on 77 shots for the month. Overall, the 32-year-old netminder is at 9-6-1 with a 2.46 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 18 appearances between the Avalanche and the Predators this season. Mackenzie Blackwood was ill Friday but was still able to back up, and he'll likely get the nod for Sunday's home game versus the Stars.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Ducks' John Gibson: Sidelined again Friday

Gibson (lower body) won't play Friday versus the Predators.

Gibson will be out of action for a fifth straight game due to the injury. It's unclear if he'll be cleared in time for Sunday's contest versus the Blues.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Between pipes against Nashville

Dostal will start in Friday's home game versus the Predators, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Dostal allowed six goals in a loss to the Capitals on Tuesday, though he had given up just a total of seven goals over his prior four games. The 24-year-old netminder will try to tame the Predators, who have scored 17 goals during their four-game winning streak.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Receiving start Friday

Saros will play in goal for Friday's road game versus the Ducks, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Saros has allowed eight goals during his three-game winning streak. The 29-year-old netminder will look to keep things going against a Ducks team that has won just twice in the last six contests, scoring 21 goals in that span.
