Mason McTavish C | ANA
Ducks' Mason McTavish: Not available Friday
McTavish (upper body) will not play against Buffalo on Friday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
McTavish has been out of action for two weeks, last playing Nov. 8 versus Minnesota. McTavish will miss his sixth straight game and will be re-evaluated after Sunday's practice. The good news is that he was a full participant in practice Thursday, so he appears to be trending in the right direction. Prior to his injury, he had two goals and five points over his last five games. The 21-year-old has tallied two goals, six assists and 14 PIM in 13 appearances this season.

Tomas Tatar LW | NJ
Devils' Tomas Tatar: Ends drought with helper
Tatar notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.
The helper was Tatar's first point over nine games in November. The 33-year-old winger remains in a fourth-line role at even strength with just sporadic power-play usage. He's produced six points, 22 shots on net, 22 hits and a plus-1 rating over 22 outings, a pace that would have him fall short of the 30-point mark for the second straight year. There are better options available in most fantasy formats.

Ondrej Palat LW | NJ
Devils' Ondrej Palat: Notches assist in win
Palat provided an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.
Palat's helper was his first since Oct. 27, though he had three goals over nine contests in between assists. The 33-year-old winger remains in a middle-six role, one that's led to somewhat limited contributions. He's at six points, 28 shots on net, 35 hits and a minus-4 rating through 21 appearances. Palat is out of the mix for power-play time, so his path to producing steady offense is a tough one.

Emil Andrae D | PHI
Flyers' Emil Andrae: Taking line rushes Friday
Andrae (undisclosed) was a full practice participant Friday, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports, indicating he could be an option versus Chicago on Saturday.
Since Cam York (upper body) is also nearing a return to action, Andrae suddenly finds himself in a crowded mix for blue-line minutes. The eventual return of Jamie Drysdale (upper body) may push Andrae even further down the depth chart. Over his 10 outings this year, the 22-year-old Andrae has registered three assists, 13 shots and eight PIM while dishing out 15 hits.

Dawson Mercer C | NJ
Devils' Dawson Mercer: Sets up game-winner
Mercer produced an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.
Mercer continues to quietly make an impact in a supporting role, picking up four points over his last six games. His helper Thursday set up Dougie Hamilton's game-winning goal halfway through the third period. Mercer has five goals, seven assists, 37 shots on net, 19 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 22 appearances in a middle-six role this season.

Brock Boeser RW | VAN
Canucks' Brock Boeser: Practices in non-contact jersey
Boeser (upper body) practiced in a non-contact jersey Friday, Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet reports.
Boeser sustained an upper-body injury against the Kings on Nov. 7, and Friday marked the first time that he practiced with the main group since getting hurt. While he'll likely need to shed his non-contact sweater before he's in the mix to return to game action, he certainly took an encouraging step in his recovery process Friday.

Dougie Hamilton D | NJ
Devils' Dougie Hamilton: Game-winner against Hurricanes
Hamilton scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM, logged three hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.
Hamilton's goal was the game-winner, and it was likely a little sweeter for him coming against one of his former teams. He tallied at 10:35 of the third period. The defenseman has nine points in as many games in November and is up to two goals, 16 points, 70 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 24 hits and 12 PIM through 22 appearances this season, matching his output from 20 outings in an injury-shortened 2023-24 campaign. While matching his 74-point season from 2022-23 might be difficult, it's very reasonable to think Hamilton could reach the 50-point mark for the third time in his career.

Nils Lundkvist D | DAL
Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Traveling with team
Lundkvist (lower body) will be with the Stars for their three-game road trip and is considered day-to-day, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports Friday.
Lundkvist was back in the lineup against the Sharks on Wednesday after having spent two games in the press box as a healthy scratch, only to suffer a lower-body injury after logging just 6:38 of ice time. As such, even if the blueliner is given the all-clear ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Lightning, he could still be scratched in favor of Brendan Smith.

Simon Holmstrom RW | NYI
Islanders' Simon Holmstrom: Scores lone goal in loss
Holmstrom scored a goal and blocked two shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Red Wings.
Holmstrom's been good in November, though he had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two contests. He was able to redirect a Scott Mayfield attempt in at 5:51 of the first period for the opening goal. Holmstrom has nine points over 20 outings this season, with seven of those points coming across 10 games in November. He's added 19 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating while filling a third-line role in 2024-25.

John Gibson G | ANA
Ducks' John Gibson: First goalie off ice Friday
Gibson was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News, indicating he will patrol the home crease versus Buffalo on Friday.
Gibson will make his second straight start and fourth in the last six games. He missed the first month of the season recovering from an appendectomy before returning to action Nov. 10 against the Blue Jackets. The veteran netminder is 3-0-0 and has given up eight goals on 85 shots (.906 save percentage) since returning to full health. Gibson will face the Sabres, who are averaging 3.21 goals per game.
