Ritchie recorded a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blues.
Ritchie came through when the Isles needed him the most in the third period, tallying a goal (which was really an own goal awarded to him) and an assist over a 60-second span. This is also the start of a new point streak for Ritchie, who hadn't cracked the scoresheet in back-to-back games since a four-game point streak between Jan. 15 and Jan. 21.

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Concedes three, earns win
Sorokin stopped 20 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blues.
Sorokin has won six of his last seven starts, but it's worth noting that he has allowed three or more goals in five of those outings. Over that seven-game stretch, the 30-year-old netminder has posted a 2.85 GAA and a .901 save percentage while stopping 183 of 203 shots he has faced.

Red Wings' Justin Faulk: Two points for new team
Faulk produced a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Florida.
In his second game for Detroit, Faulk made a significant impact. He scored his 12th goal of the season midway through the second period before helping to set up a Marco Kasper tally early in the third. Faulk is up to 34 points in 63 games on the season between the Red Wings and Blues. However, he won't see the kind of power-play time in Detroit that he did in St. Louis while working behind Moritz Seider.

Red Wings' John Gibson: Leads slips away late Tuesday
Gibson made 24 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers.
The Red Wings held a 3-2 lead with 90 seconds to go in the third period, but Gibson gave up two goals to Carter Verhaeghe to flip the script. Gibson allowed more than three goals for the first time since the beginning of February. Over his last seven outings, he has posted a dazzling 1.85 GAA and .929 save percentage despite owning a 3-3-0 record.

Capitals' David Kampf: Won't play Wednesday
Kampf (not injury related) isn't expected to play Wednesday versus Philadelphia, per Adam Kimelman of NHL.com.
Kampf has been going through the process to get a work visa after Washington acquired him from Vancouver on Friday. The 31-year-old has two goals and six points in 38 outings in 2025-26. He'll likely serve in a bottom-six capacity once he's available to play for Washington.

Hurricanes' Alexander Nikishin: Two points against Pens
Nikishin scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over Pittsburgh.
Both points came in the third period, with the power-play tally being his fourth of the season and second in as many games. Nikishin has taken over the top spot with the man advantage for the Hurricanes while Shayne Gostisbehere (lower body) is sidelined, and the 24-year-old rookie is running with the opportunity. On the season, Nikishin has nine goals and 25 points in 63 games, including eight power-play points.

Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Hangs on for shootout win
Andersen stopped 24 shots in regulation and overtime and two of three shootout attempts in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Penguins.
The veteran netminder seemed to be cruising toward a win when the Hurricanes grabbed a 4-2 lead midway through the third period. However, Andersen coughed up two late goals, which forced the game to overtime. Still, he got his third win in four starts since the Olympic break despite a 2.73 GAA and an .875 save percentage over that stretch. He has been working in a timeshare with Brandon Bussi.

Capitals' Logan Thompson: Slated starter Wednesday
Thompson is expected to start on the road against Philadelphia on Wednesday, per Adam Kimelman of NHL.com.
Thompson has a 22-18-4 record, 2.42 GAA and .912 save percentage in 44 outings in 2025-26. He stopped 23 of 26 shots in a 7-3 victory over Calgary in his last start Monday. Thompson turned aside 23 of 24 shots en route to a 3-1 victory over the Flyers on Feb. 25, so he'll be looking for a similar result Wednesday.

Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Two-point effort Tuesday
Karlsson notched two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to Carolina.
Both helpers came on goals by Bryan Rust, including the game-tying tally inside the final minute of the third period. Karlsson has found a groove since the Olympic break. Over the last seven games, the veteran blueliner has produced two goals and nine points.

Penguins' Yegor Chinakhov: Two helpers in shootout loss
Chinakhov picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Hurricanes.
The 25-year-old winger had a hand in tallies by Bryan Rust in the second period and Noel Acciari in the third. Chinakhov continues to thrive with Pittsburgh. Over 11 games since the beginning of February, he has collected five goals and 11 points.
