Rutger McGroarty RW | PIT
Penguins' Rutger McGroarty: Gets goal Tuesday
McGroarty scored a goal in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Blues.
McGroarty's tally was his first since Dec. 23 at the NHL level. The 22-year-old rookie has six points, 37 shots on net, 26 hits and a minus-3 rating over 24 NHL appearances this season. He will probably not be a major factor in the Penguins' playoff run this year, but he should be in the mix to make the team out of training camp to start 2026-27.

Anthony Mantha RW | PIT
Penguins' Anthony Mantha: Collects two points in loss
Mantha scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Blues.
Mantha was reportedly dealing with a lower-body injury over the weekend, but that was likely a minor issue announced to give a reason for him to rest. The winger certainly hasn't looked like he's playing hurt lately, with seven goals and four assists over his last nine outings. He's had a remarkable comeback campaign, finishing the regular season with career highs in goals (33), assists (31) and points (64) while tying his high mark in power-play points (13). Mantha played the year on a one-year contract, but the 31-year-old has likely earned himself a substantial raise on his next deal.

Avery Hayes RW | PIT
Penguins' Avery Hayes: Pots pair of goals
Hayes scored twice on three shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Blues.
Hayes has filled a part-time role in April, playing in three of the last five games. The 23-year-old forward had a good showing with his second multi-goal game in the NHL. However, he has just five goals with 25 shots on net, 23 hits and 12 PIM over 16 appearances at the NHL level this season. It's unclear if he'll be in the lineup often in the playoffs -- if not, he could be reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to get steadier playing time.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Gets work in third period
Silovs stopped seven of nine shots in relief of Stuart Skinner in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Blues.
Silovs played the third period in what was likely an effort to keep both goalies from sitting around too long ahead of the playoffs. The 25-year-old ended up with the loss after this relief appearance, as he entered when the game was tied at 4-4. Silovs is down to 19-12-8 with a 3.07 GAA and an .887 save percentage over 39 appearances this season. The Penguins' goaltending hasn't exactly been a strength, so it's fair to assume both netminders will get some playing time during the playoffs, but Skinner has the experience of making back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals on his resume.

Stuart Skinner G | PIT
Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Plays two periods Tuesday
Skinner stopped 17 of 21 shots in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Blues.
Skinner played two periods and didn't do well. The decision to pull him for Arturs Silovs may have been partially performance-based, but the Penguins also have split the crease a fair amount this season, so keeping both goalies fresh for the playoffs could be a factor. Since Skinner left when the game was tied, he didn't end up with a result. He'll finish the regular season at 23-17-9 with a 2.92 GAA and an .888 save percentage over 50 games between the Penguins and the Oilers. The Penguins haven't announced their starter for Game 1 versus the Flyers yet.

Jake Neighbours LW | STL
Blues' Jake Neighbours: Supplies two helpers
Neighbours notched two assists and two hits in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Penguins.
Neighbours has four points over his last three games. His pair of helpers Tuesday came during the Blues' second-period rally, which helped them wipe out a 4-1 deficit. Neighbours is up to 36 points, 84 shots on net, 149 hits, 43 PIM and a minus-5 rating across 68 appearances this season.
-
Robert Thomas C | STL
Blues' Robert Thomas: Reaches 60-point mark again
Thomas notched two assists and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Penguins.
Thomas has four helpers over his last four games and a total of six goals and nine assists across his last 10 outings. The 26-year-old had a hand in goals by Jimmy Snuggerud and Dylan Holloway in this contest. Thomas has done fairly well this season despite being limited by a few injuries throughout the campaign. He reached the 60-point mark Tuesday, a level he's achieved in five straight campaigns. He has 22 goals, 38 assists, 99 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a plus-20 rating over 63 appearances.
-
Oskar Sundqvist C | STL
Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Pots goal Tuesday
Sundqvist scored a goal and added four hits in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Penguins.
Sundqvist was back in the lineup for just the third time over eight games in April. The 32-year-old has a point in each of his last two outings despite the lack of playing time. He's at 17 points, 37 shots on net, 69 hits, 26 blocked shots, 26 PIM and a minus-18 rating over 52 appearances, mainly in a fourth-line role.
-
Pavel Buchnevich LW | STL
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Goals in consecutive games
Buchnevich scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Penguins.
Buchnevich has two goals and an assist during a three-game point streak. The 30-year-old's tally at 4:55 of the third period stood as the game-winner. Buchnevich is up to 19 goals, 47 points, 140 shots on net and a minus-12 rating over 80 appearances this season, playing mainly in a second-line role.

Logan Mailloux D | STL
Blues' Logan Mailloux: One of each Tuesday
Mailloux scored a goal on four shots and added an assist in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Penguins.
Mailloux got the Blues back within a goal in the middle of the second period, and he also helped out on Dylan Holloway's empty-netter in the third. The goal was Mailloux's first since March 4 versus the Kraken. While the offense was only sporadic, Mailloux regularly played in a top-four role after the Olympic break, earning nine points and a plus-10 rating over his last 24 appearances. He's up to five goals, nine assists, 83 shots on net, 92 hits, 56 blocked shots, 48 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 67 contests this season.
