  • Josh Dunne C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Dunne: Set to miss 4-6 weeks

Dunne (undisclosed) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports Wednesday.

Dunne will likely return after the Olympic break, based on that timetable. He has a goal, four points, 34 PIM, 34 hits and 12 blocks in 28 appearances in 2025-26. Dunne hasn't been able to stay in the lineup consistently, so there's no guarantee he'll play regularly once he's available.

  • Sabres' Michael Kesselring: Won't play Wednesday

Kesselring (ankle) has been activated from injured reserve, but he won't play against Philadelphia on Wednesday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.

Kesselring is available to play if there's an emergency, and it's possible that he could draw back into the lineup for Thursday's matchup against Montreal. He has missed the last five games after aggravating his high-ankle sprain from November on Dec. 31 against Dallas.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: In goal Wednesday

Quick will get the starting nod at home versus the Senators on Wednesday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

Quick is mired in a 10-game losing streak during which he has gone 0-8-2 with a 3.46 GAA. As long as Igor Shesterkin (lower body) is on the shelf, the Rangers will probably turn to Quick regularly despite his lack of wins. However, a back-to-back against the Ducks and Kings on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, could give Spencer Martin his first NHL start of the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Zac Jones D | BUF

Sabres' Zac Jones: Heads back to minors

Jones was loaned to AHL Rochester on Wednesday.

After serving as a healthy scratch for the Sabres over the team's last two contests, Jones will return to the AHL ahead of Rochester's home game Wednesday. Despite being called up by Buffalo on multiple occasions this season, the 25-year-old blueliner still leads the Americans in points with 32 across 28 games. While his first taste of NHL action this season has yet to arrive, the Sabres have shown interest in giving Jones a shot, which could lead to another call-up in the near future.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Adds three points in loss

Draisaitl tallied a goal, supplied two assists and fired four shots on net in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Nashville.

Draisaitl played a hand in all three of Edmonton's goals, with the second of the trio being the one he scored himself to tie the game at two apiece. Following Tuesday's three-point performance, the 30-year-old center now has 25 goals, 42 assists and 135 shots on net through 47 games this season. While his teammate Connor McDavid is garnering all of the attention due to his 20-game point streak, Draisaitl has a solid streak of his own with 10 points during his five-game scoring run. Five of those points are goals, which have brought him up to a tie for fifth across the league in that regard. If he can push toward the 52 goals he posted in 71 regular-season games a year ago, the veteran center could end up posting a number near the top of the league.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Lights lamp twice in loss

Hyman scored two goals and put three shots on net in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Nashville.

Both of Hyman's twine finders came on power plays, with his first goal tying the game at one apiece before his second gave the Oilers a brief 3-2 lead. Overall, the 33-year-old winger has 16 goals, 27 points, 83 shots on net and 32 hits through 28 games this season. Hyman's goals helped extend the point streak of Connor McDavid, who reached the 20-game mark Tuesday. Hyman should not only continue to play a key part in that storyline, but is also on track to finish the season near a point-per-game pace after missing the first month with a wrist injury.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Point streak up to 20 games

McDavid recorded two assists and placed three shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Predators.

McDavid extended his point streak to 20 games. He is up to 52 assists, 82 points and 176 shots on net across 47 games this season. While it wasn't ever in much question, the superstar center secured a point-per-game for the season, assuming he plays all 82 games for the Oilers. During his point streak, he has 19 goals, 27 assists and 101 shots on net. He'll have a chance to extend his point streak to 21 games during Thursday's home contest against the Islanders.

  • Tristan Broz C | PIT

Penguins' Tristan Broz: Shipped down to minors

Broz was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday.

Broz didn't get into the lineup versus the Lightning on Tuesday, serving as a healthy scratch. The youngster will likely suit up for the Baby Pens in Wednesday's clash with AHL Providence, which would technically make him eligible to be called back up ahead of Pittsburgh's matchup with Philadelphia on Thursday.

  • Erik Haula LW | NSH

Predators' Erik Haula: Finds twine Tuesday

Haula scored a goal and fired five shots on net in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.

Haula found the back of the net just over three minutes into the second period to give the Predators a 2-1 lead before the second ended 3-3. With the twine finder, Haula now has eight goals, 24 points, 77 shots on net, 55 hits and 27 blocks over 46 games this season. While he hasn't recorded an assist across his last seven games, the 34-year-old center has three goals in that span, proving that his all-around play style doesn't exclude putting tallies on the scoreboard. With eight points, 36 shots on net, 13 hits and 13 blocks in his last 15 games, he holds solid value in deep fantasy leagues that value category coverage.

  • Predators' Steven Stamkos: Nets opening goal Tuesday

Stamkos scored a goal, placed three shots on net and dished out two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Edmonton.

Stamkos put a tally on the scoreboard less than three minutes into regulation to secure his fifth consecutive season with 20 goals or more. Overall, the 35-year-old forward is up to 20 goals, 31 points, 110 shots on net, 45 hits and 20 blocks through 46 games this season. Since Dec. 11, Stamkos has amassed 12 goals and 20 points in 17 outings. He remains a relevant fantasy producer, especially when it comes to finding the back of the net, giving him value in nearly all standard fantasy formats moving forward.
