Slavin (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Islanders, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.
Slavin will miss his second straight game for maintenance purposes. However, he will likely be available for the start of the playoffs. He accounted for one goal, seven assists, 63 shots on net and 54 blocked shots during the 2025-26 regular season.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Won't play Tuesday
Aho (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Islanders.
Aho will be sidelined for the third time in the final four games of the regular season since the Hurricanes have clinched the playoffs. He's one of several key players who will sit out for Tuesday's regular-season finale, but he should be back in action for the start of the postseason.

Panthers' Mikulas Hovorka: Back in NHL
Hovorka was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Tuesday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.
Hovorka was sent down over the weekend but will return to the big club ahead of Wednesday's regular-season finale versus the Red Wings. He has made three NHL appearances this season, adding three hits and a blocked shot while posting a minus-3 rating.

Flyers' Cam York: Sitting out Tuesday
York (rest) won't play against Montreal on Tuesday.
York will join several other regulars in the press box for some additional rest ahead of Philadelphia's first-round playoff series against Pittsburgh. He will conclude the 2025-26 regular season with four goals, 26 points, 89 shots on net and 145 blocked shots across 74 appearances.

Drysdale (rest) will not play in Tuesday's home game against the Canadiens.
Drysdale will attend Tuesday's contest in street clothes, as he and many regular starters will have a game of rest for the Flyers' regular-season finale. Overall, the 24-year-old blueliner has eight goals, 32 points, 101 shots on net and 94 blocked shots across 78 games this season. He'll likely return to his top-four defensive role ahead of the battle for Pennsylvania, where the Flyers face off against the Penguins in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Defending crease Tuesday
Kochetkov (hip) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his start in Tuesday's road matchup against the Islanders, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Kochetkov hasn't played in the NHL since Dec. 20 against Tampa Bay due to hip surgery. He appeared in parts of two games with AHL Chicago on Friday and Sunday during a conditioning loan before being called up by the Hurricanes on Monday. Kochetkov has a 6-2-0 record with a 2.33 GAA and an .899 save percentage in nine NHL outings this campaign.

Zegras won't play in Tuesday's game against the Canadiens due to rest purposes.
Zegras will have a chance to rest after appearing in each of Philadelphia's first 81 regular-season games. He recorded 26 goals, 41 assists, 62 PIM, 46 hits and 28 blocked shots while averaging 18:43 of ice time. He should return to the lineup for the start of the postseason.
