Alex Ovechkin LW | WAS
Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Adds helper in last home game
Ovechkin notched an assist, placed three shots on net and dished out five hits in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Penguins.
Ovechkin slid the primary helper on Connor McMichael's empty-net goal late in the third period to seal the win for the Capitals. Sunday's game marked what could potentially be the last home game of Ovechkin's career if the Capitals don't make the Stanley Cup Playoffs and if the 40-year-old winger decides to hang up his skates after 21 successful seasons in the NHL. Ovechkin has eight goals and 12 points over his last 13 games, but Washington still sits one point out of a playoff spot. He'll look to end the regular season, and possibly his career, on a high note in Tuesday's road clash against the Blue Jackets.

Kevin Bahl D | CGY
Flames' Kevin Bahl: Not playing against Utah
Bahl (lower body) isn't in the lineup for Sunday's home contest versus the Mammoth, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Bahl is set to miss his third straight game. He returned to Calgary to be evaluated after getting injured during the team's road trip Tuesday in Dallas, but his status for the remainder of the season has yet to be revealed. The Flames' next game is at home Tuesday against the Avalanche.

John Marino D | UTA
Mammoth's John Marino: Won't play Sunday
Marino (upper body) won't play in Sunday's game against Calgary.
Marino missed Saturday's matchup against Carolina due to his upper-body injury, and he'll be unavailable for the second half of the back-to-back set. He's considered day-to-day for now, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be available against the Jets on Tuesday.

Martin Fehervary D | WAS
Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Supplies two helpers in win
Fehervary recorded two assists and served four PIM in Sunday's 3-0 win over Pittsburgh.
Fehervary picked up a secondary helper on each of Connor McMichael's goals late in the third period. With the multi-apple outing, Fehervary is up to 22 assists, 27 points, 72 shots on net, 110 hits and 174 blocked shots through 80 games this season. He's heating up offensively with five points over his last four games, and Fehervary has managed to maintain his category-coverage stats during that span. The steady blueliner sits just two blocked shots shy of cracking the league's top five defensemen in that category, giving him a chance to do so in Washington's final game of the regular season Tuesday against the Blue Jackets.

Kevin Rooney C | UTA
Mammoth's Kevin Rooney: Summoned from Tucson
Rooney was recalled from AHL Tucson on Sunday.
Rooney has played in just one game with the Mammoth this season, though he scored a goal on his lone shot in Dallas on Nov. 28. The 32-year-old forward has accounted for 12 goals, 24 points and a minus-3 rating over 44 appearances with the Roadrunners in 2025-26.

Connor McMichael C | WAS
Capitals' Connor McMichael: Grabs trio of points Sunday
McMichael scored two goals, distributed an assist and put two shots on net in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Penguins.
McMichael played a pivotal role in all three of the Capitals' goals Sunday, as he picked up a secondary helper on Trevor van Riemsdyk's goal in the second period before scoring twice himself in the third. With his trio of points, McMichael is up to 14 goals, 32 assists, 142 shots on net, 45 hits and 44 blocked shots across 77 games this season. The 25-year-old forward has been a frequent contributor to Washington's offense of late with four goals and 11 points over his last nine games. McMichael is a solid waiver-wire pickup in most fantasy formats that track category coverage ahead of the Caps' last game of the regular season Tuesday.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Tending twine against Utah
Wolf will start Sunday's home game against the Mammoth, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Wolf has struggled in recent outings, going 0-3-0 with a 5.71 GAA and .867 save percentage over his last three starts. However, he was successful in a home start against Utah on Dec. 6, turning aside all 28 shots he faced in a 2-0 victory.
-
Matt Villalta G | UTA
Mammoth's Matt Villalta: Brought up Sunday
Villalta was recalled from AHL Tucson on Sunday.
Karel Vejmelka (undisclosed) is not suiting up for Sunday's matchup in Calgary, so Villalta will serve as Vitek Vanecek's backup for at least one game. The 26-year-old Villalta has a 16-12-3 record, .895 save percentage and 3.10 GAA over 33 outings with the Roadrunners in 2025-26.
-
Vitek Vanecek G | UTA
Mammoth's Vitek Vanecek: Starting in Calgary
Vanecek will be in goal Sunday in Calgary, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
This will be Vanecek's first start since March 26 against the Capitals, when he surrendered six goals on 23 shots in a 7-4 loss. The Czech netminder has played in just six games since March 5, posting a 2-2-1 record, 2.72 GAA and .890 save percentage in that time. The Flames have dropped three consecutive games against Dallas, Colorado and Seattle, netting a total of just five goals during their skid.

Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Won't dress against Calgary
Vejmelka won't dress for Sunday's road game against Calgary for an undisclosed reason.
While the exact reason for Vejmelka's absence isn't yet clear, he's likely getting a night off since the Mammoth have clinched a playoff spot. Vitek Vanecek will draw the start against Calgary, while Matt Villalta was called up from AHL Tucson to serve as the No. 2 option. It's not yet clear whether Vejmelka will start in either of Utah's final two regular-season games, which are Tuesday at home against Winnipeg and Thursday at home against the Blues.
