  • Golden Knights' Ivan Barbashev: Tallies again in loss

Barbashev scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM, doled out four hits and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Mammoth in Game 2.

Barbashev has two goals over as many games to start this first-round series. The winger looks poised to remain a fixture in the Golden Knights' top six, though head coach John Tortorella has done some shuffling already, looking for the best role for Mitch Marner between first-line winger and second-line center. Barbashev is versatile enough to play on any line, but as long as he stays in a prominent spot, he should be a solid contributor on offense.

  • Mark Stone RW | LV

Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Opens scoring on power play

Stone scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Mammoth in Game 2.

Stone has a power-play tally in both games so far in this first-round series, and he's contributed at least one power-play point in five of his last six outings. The 33-year-old winger's top-line role at even strength should help him stay productive even if the Golden Knights' power play cools off. As long as Stone stays healthy, he'll be a critical part of the Vegas offense.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Loses to Mammoth in Game 2

Hart stopped 26 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Mammoth in Game 2.

Hart didn't let the game get out of hand, but a goal in each period from the Mammoth gave him his first loss since he returned from a lower-body injury. Through the first two games of the season, Hart has allowed five goals on 62 shots, and he's faced a bit more traffic than Karel Vejmelka as the Mammoth have been able to put some pressure on the Golden Knights' defense. One loss probably won't cause head coach John Tortorella to turn away from Hart in goal, so expect the 27-year-old to get the nod in Game 3 on Friday in Utah.

  • Mammoth's Kailer Yamamoto: Produces pair of assists

Yamamoto notched two assists, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2.

The Mammoth's second line led them to the win, with Yamamoto helping out on goals by Dylan Guenther and Logan Cooley. The 27-year-old Yamamoto had a bit of a bounce-back year with 23 points over 59 regular-season contests, and he's maintained a second-line role at even strength in recent weeks. This is his fifth year appearing in the postseason -- over his previous four playoff runs, he collected three goals and 12 points across 34 games.

  • Mammoth's MacKenzie Weegar: Credited with goal Game 2 win

Weegar scored a goal on two shots and added four hits in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Weegar was credited with the Mammoth's first goal, which was ruled an own goal by the Golden Knights. The 32-year-old defenseman last scored March 26 versus the Capitals, picking up four assists over nine outings between tallies. Weegar is in the playoffs for the fourth time in his career and the first since 2021-22. In the three prior postseason runs, he collected five points over 20 contests.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Nets game-winner Tuesday

Cooley scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM, logged three hits and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Cooley has scored in both games of the series so far, and his tally Tuesday was the game-winner. That will send the series to Utah tied at one game apiece. Cooley is featuring on the second line and first power-play unit, so he's in a good position to be a consistent scoring threat for the Mammoth. The 21-year-old has nine goals and six helpers over his last 12 outings dating back to March 26.

  • Dylan Guenther RW | UTA

Mammoth's Dylan Guenther: One of each in Game 2 win

Guenther scored a goal on five shots, added an assist, logged two hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Guenther gave the Mammoth their first lead at 14:56 of the second period, but Ivan Barbashev replied for the Golden Knights just 1:02 later. In the third, Guenther set up Logan Cooley on the game-winning tally. These two points were the first ones Guenther has earned in the postseason, as this is his first time in the playoffs over his four NHL years. He broke out with 40 goals, 73 points, 242 shots on net, 66 hits and a plus-7 rating over 79 regular-season outings in 2025-26.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Picks up win in Game 2

Vejmelka allowed two goals on 22 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2.

The Mammoth scored a goal in each period, and Vejmelka was able to shut the door on Vegas in the third to pick up his first career playoff win. This is the first time in five outings he's allowed fewer than three goals. He's given up five goals on 52 shots over two games against the Golden Knights in the first round, and he'll likely be back in goal Friday for Game 3 in Utah.

  • Josh Anderson RW | MON

Canadiens' Josh Anderson: Yet another clutch goal

Anderson scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Lightning in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round.

Two playoff games. Two playoff goals. Anderson is the epitome of a playoff warrior. His goal put the Habs up 2-1 at 18:36 of the second period. Anderson will be feeling sore Wednesday after being jumped from behind by Brandon Hagel in the first and being run over by Scott Sabourin late in the third. Anderson was skating backwards in front of the benches when Sabourin hammered him blind from behind. Anderson was down for a few minutes before skating off the ice under his own power. He will have an extra day to work out the kinks -- the Habs and Bolts next face-off Friday.

  • Lane Hutson D | MON

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: First career NHL playoff goal

Hutson scored a power-play goal Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime to the Lightning in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round.

It was his first career NHL playoff goal, but it won't be the talented defender's last. Hutson scored with a one-timer from the point that somehow went through traffic and under Andrei Vasilevskiy's blocker arm. Hutson has a goal, assist and eight shots, including six Tuesday, in two postseason games.
