  • Ben Jones C | MIN

Wild's Ben Jones: Racks up three assists in AHL win

Jones logged three assists in AHL Iowa's 5-2 win over Texas on Tuesday.

Jones has five goals and five assists over his last seven contests. The veteran forward is up to 11 goals, 28 points, 84 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 32 AHL outings. Jones has seen some time with the big club and could be an option if injuries arise.

  • Wild's Hunter Haight: Two goals in Iowa win

Haight scored twice in AHL Iowa's 5-2 win over Texas on Tuesday.

Haight is up to 15 goals and 28 points over 49 appearances this season with Iowa. He's earned three goals and two helpers over six contests since he returned from his latest stint with Minnesota. Haight could be a candidate for a call-up whenever the Wild need reinforcements.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Hits 25 goal mark

Verhaeghe scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-3 shootout loss to Montreal.

Verhaeghe followed Donovan Sebrango's end-to-end rush and buried the defender's rebound from the left circle. Verhaeghe has a goal in each of his last two games and 25 on the season (55 points; 76 games). Aside from his two 70-plus point regular seasons, he is a consistent 50-55 point NHL winger who tickles the twine 20-25 times a campaign. This season, he struggled like the rest of the team with so many stars out of the lineup due to injury.

  • Ivan Demidov RW | MON

Canadiens' Ivan Demidov: Goal pads rookie scoring lead

Demidov scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-3 shootout win over Florida.

Demidov potted a power-play goal early in the second period that tied the game 1-1. It was the rookie's 18th snipe of the season in 78 games (61 points). Demidov continues to lead all NHL rookie scorers this year. He has points in six of his last seven games (three goals, four assists).

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Sixth win in row

Dobes made 30 saves Tuesday in a 4-3 shootout win over the Panthers.

It was Dobes' sixth win in a row; he's 10-3-0 since the Olympic break. He has been instrumental in the Habs' surge into a tie for first in the Atlantic, and right now, it looks like Dobes and Jacob Fowler are the netminders of choice headed into the postseason. Dobes has no pro experience in the postseason, but his success can't be denied.

  • Nick Suzuki C | MON

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Clutch goal from team leader

Suzuki scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-3 shootout win over the Panthers.

Suzuki tied the game with 21 seconds left to force overtime; the win moved the Habs into a three-way tie with the Sabres and Lightning for first place in the Atlantic Division (102 points). The goal was Suzuki's 28th this season. He has a career-best 96 points in 78 games. Since the Olympic break, Suzuki has put up at least a point in 17 of 21 games played (10 goals, 31 assists). He has four games left to hit the century mark in points for the first time ever. His 96 points tied him with Pierre Turgeon (1995-96) for the most by a member of the Habs since Vincent Damphousse put up 97 in 1992-93.

  • Canadiens' Phillip Danault: Snaps 14-game goal drought

Danault scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-3 shootout win over Florida.

Danault snapped a 14-game goal drought with the snipe. He has struggled offensively this season. He has just six goals and 11 assists in 72 games; all six goals and six assists have come in 42 games since joining Montreal. At least he's still performing at the dot with 531 wins (55.3 percent), although this will be just his second regular season below 600 wins in the last eight. It's hard to know if this is simply an outlier for the veteran or if he's fallen off the age-related cliff at 33 years old. Danault is a veteran presence on a young and surprisingly good Montreal squad; he has 62 playoff games under his belt, and the team will be hoping he can bring that knowledge and poise to the squad as they head into the postseason.

  • Canadiens' Juraj Slafkovsky: Power game evolving in right ways

Slafkovsky picked up two assists, one of which came on the power play, in Montreal's 4-3 shootout win over Florida on Tuesday.

Slafkovsky has 29 goals, 40 assists, 170 shots and 100 hits in 78 games this season. Twenty-eight of those points have come on the power play. Since the start of March, Slafkovsky has 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists) and 15 hits in 18 games. His game has evolved this season, he's playing a more controled style. Slafkovsky has just 100 hits in 78 games this year; during the 2024-25 regular season, he had 194. He also has swung from minus-19 two years ago to plus-12 this year. His fantasy value has never been higher.

  • Red Wings' Michael Rasmussen: Will miss time

Rasmussen (lower body) will miss some games after exiting Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jackets, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Rasmussen's injury Tuesday is related to his previous lower-body issue, as he was hit with a shot in almost exactly the same spot. With Rasmussen out, Dominik Shine will likely get the first crack at filling the opening in the lineup.

  • Panthers' Dmitry Kulikov: Done for season with broken finger

Kulikov sustained a broken finger Tuesday versus the Canadiens, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Kulikov joins a growing list of injuries for the Panthers -- he's the third player on the roster to suffer a season-ending broken finger. The 35-year-old defenseman will end up failing to record a point in 19 appearances this season. He is under contract for 2026-27, and he should be healthy in plenty of time for Opening Night.
