  • Caleb Jones D | PIT

Penguins' Caleb Jones: Moves to IR

Jones (shoulder) has been placed on injured reserve by the Penguins, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports Sunday.

The move is just a formality after the Penguins announced that Jones would miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery Friday. The 28-year-old's season officially comes to a close with one point in seven games at the NHL level.

  • Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Provides pair of helpers

Miller notched two assists in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.

Miller has three helpers over two games to begin April. The 26-year-old had gone five contests without a point to end March. He plays in a top-four role but doesn't receive consistent power-play time, so Miller's offense is prone to ups and downs throughout the year. He's earned 35 points -- the second-best total of his career in six seasons -- and has added 113 shots on net, 95 hits, 73 blocked shots, 54 PIM and a plus-8 rating over 68 appearances.

  • Jackson Blake RW | CAR

Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: Lights lamp in win

Blake scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.

Blake continues to provide steady complementary offense with three goals and four assists over his last nine outings in a second-line role. The 22-year-old winger is up to 22 goals, 47 points, 165 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 76 appearances. If he doesn't get rested down the stretch, Blake has a good chance to reach the 50-point mark in just his second season.

  • Cole Schwindt RW | FLA

Panthers' Cole Schwindt: Nabs assist in return

Schwindt logged an assist and two hits in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Penguins.

This was Schwindt's return from a 17-game absence due to a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old has a chance to carve out a bottom-six role late in the season. He's missed substantial time due to a broken arm and the lower-body issue, limiting him to five points, 12 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-2 rating over 23 appearances.

  • Noah Gregor C | FLA

Panthers' Noah Gregor: Scores in Saturday's loss

Gregor scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Penguins.

Gregor has two goals over his last three outings. The 27-year-old has gotten a chance to play in the middle six since the Panthers are missing numerous players due to injuries. Gregor has produced just seven points, 33 shots on net, 31 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 31 appearances this season.

  • Seth Jones D | FLA

Panthers' Seth Jones: Deposits goal in blowout loss

Jones scored a goal and blocked two shots in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Penguins.

Jones' goal was his first since Dec. 23, a span of 13 contests without scoring. He was out for 26 games due to an upper-body injury in that span. Due the Panthers' substantial injuries, Jones is playing as the top overall defenseman for the team to close out the campaign. He's earned seven goals, 30 points, 86 shots on net, 46 hits, 56 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 50 outings, which is solid work given the state of the team around him.

  • Panthers' Mackie Samoskevich: Extends goal streak in loss

Samoskevich scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Penguins.

Samoskevich has scored in four straight games to get to 10 tallies on the season. The 23-year-old forward has benefited from injuries opening up a larger role for him, though he figures to slip back into the bottom six if the Panthers are healthy to start 2026-27. This year, he's at 27 points, 148 shots on net, 130 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 71 appearances, with his offense a little down from last year while the non-scoring numbers have held steady.

  • Ryan Shea D | PIT

Penguins' Ryan Shea: Adds goal in blowout win

Shea scored a goal and blocked two shots in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Panthers.

Shea has two goals and an assist over his last four games, a span in which the Penguins have erupted for 25 tallies. The 29-year-old defenseman has been a strong part of the blue line this season, racking up six goals, 25 assists, a plus-23 rating, 69 shots on net and 91 blocked shots over 76 appearances. Shea continues to see bottom-four minutes, but he has moved up and down the pairings for much of the season.

  • Noel Acciari C | PIT

Penguins' Noel Acciari: Tallies in big win

Acciari scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Panthers.

Acciari has three goals and an assist over his last five outings. The 34-year-old continues to be an effective depth scorer from the fourth line as well as a strong penalty killer. He's up to 12 goals, 23 points, 91 shots on net, 65 hits, 56 blocked shots and a plus-13 rating over 63 appearances. It would still take a sustained push for him to match his career-best 27-point campaign, which came with the Panthers in 2019-20.

  • Penguins' Elmer Soderblom: Two-point game in blowout win

Soderblom scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and logged two hits in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Panthers.

Soderblom played well in the first half of the two-game set against Florida. The 24-year-old winger has gotten more comfortable in the lineup lately with two goals and three assists over his last five games. He's up to 10 points, 65 shots on net, 92 hits and a minus-2 rating over 54 appearances between Pittsburgh and Detroit this season. Soderblom's place in the lineup should be secure until Blake Lizotte (upper body) returns.
