Canucks' Braeden Cootes: Three-point effort for Raiders
Cootes scored a goal and added two assists in WHL Prince Albert's 8-4 win over Regina on Tuesday.
Cootes has two goals and eight assists over four contests in March. For the season, he's up to 23 goals and 61 points over 44 appearances between the Raiders and the Thunderbirds, putting him two points shy of his 63-point campaign in 60 games with WHL Seattle in the 2024-25 regular season. Cootes has time to elevate his numbers some more, especially with the momentum he's currently carrying.

Taylor Makar LW | COL
Avalanche's Taylor Makar: Logs three points
Makar scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Colorado's 6-5 shootout loss to San Diego on Tuesday.
Makar had missed a couple of weeks due to an injury, but he returned with a big game. He's up to 10 goals and 18 points through 43 outings in his first full AHL campaign, and he also has 12 NHL appearances to his name. It's unlikely he'll get much of a look with the Avalanche late in the season.

Colangelo scored a goal and added two assists in AHL San Diego's 6-5 shootout win over Colorado on Tuesday.
Colangelo has three goals and five assists over his last eight games. He continues to be steady with 26 points over 39 outings in the AHL this season. Unless injuries pop up in Anaheim, Colangelo is likely to spend the rest of the campaign in San Diego.

Brandon Bussi G | CAR
Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Hits rough patch
Bussi made 25 saves in a 5-1 loss to Columbus on Tuesday.
This game wasn't on Bussi per se, but he wasn't part of the solution either. Coach Rod Brind'Amour was blunt with reporters after the game: "If you're going to lose, that's probably the way you want to do it. You don't want to lose but play well. This was not a game we played well. Throw it away and come back tomorrow (against the Pittsburgh Penguins)." Bussi is on a personal three-game losing streak, and he's 2-3-0 in his last five starts. He has allowed at least four goals in four of those five games (.835).

Andrei Svechnikov RW | CAR
Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Second time in career to 25 goals
Svechnikov (undisclosed) scored a goal Tuesday in a 5-1 loss to Columbus.
The goal was his 25th. It's the second time Svechnikov has hit that milestone. He first did it in the 2021-22 regular season, which is also the year he set his career mark for goals (30), assists (39), power-play points (22) and shots (249). Svechnikov has already equaled the PPP mark this season, and with continued health, he could equal his goal mark and break his point mark.

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Among franchise's best already
Greaves made 27 saves in a 5-1 win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday.
The only goal he allowed came on a 4-on-4 play when Andrei Svechnikov danced around him with a backhand. Total skill play. With the win, Greaves extended his point streak to 10 games and became the second goaltender in Blue Jackets history to go on a double-digit run. Sergei Bobrovsky did it four times, the longest of which was 16 games (2016-17). Greaves is 8-0-2 on the streak.

Lavoie has six goals and four assists over his last four games, all of which have been multi-point efforts. The forward is up to 19 goals and 36 points in 31 appearances. Lavoie continues to be effective in the AHL while waiting for his next NHL opportunity.

Mason Marchment LW | CLB
Blue Jackets' Mason Marchment: Sets franchise record with goal
Marchment scored a power-play goal Tuesday in a 5-1 win over Carolina.
Marchment has seized the day in Columbus since the trade from Seattle. His 12 goals are the most by a Blue Jackets' player in their first 25 games with the team. Kirill Marchenko held the mark with 11. Marchment has 21 points and 47 shots in his first 25 games, but his pace has slowed significantly in March. He has two goals, three assists and 18 shots in nine games this month.

Cole Sillinger C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: First points in 11 games
Sillinger picked two apples Tuesday in a 5-1 win over Carolina.
The points were Sillinger's first since the Olympic break (11 games). The pivot has not lived up to the hype from his strong rookie campaign at just 18 years of age, but he has developed into a reliable, two-way forward with a nose for the defensive side of the game. Overall, Sillinger has six goals, 22 assists, 89 hits and 108 shots in 66 games this season.
