  • Aatu Raty C | VAN

Canucks' Aatu Raty: Finds twine Tuesday

Raty scored a goal and added three hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

Raty hadn't scored since Dec. 6 versus the Wild, when he had two goals and an assist. The 23-year-old was limited to one assist over a 24-game span, but he was able to snap the slump with a second-period tally Tuesday. For the season, he's at four goals, 13 points, 51 shots on net, 122 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 51 appearances. While the offense isn't always there, he's shown decent defensive responsibility in a fourth-line role.

  • Drew O'Connor LW | VAN

Canucks' Drew O'Connor: Adds insurance tally

O'Connor scored a goal and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

O'Connor has two goals and two assists over eight outings in March. The 27-year-old forward was listed on the top line but saw just 14:35 of ice time Tuesday, which could signal a move back into the bottom six in the near future. He's been fairly effective regardless of role with 16 goals, 10 assists, 106 shots on net, 59 hits, 36 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 67 appearances this season. That's still not enough offense to be valuable in standard fantasy formats, but he has a case in deeper leagues.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Earns three points in win

Rossi scored a goal on two shots, added two power-play assists and logged three hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

Rossi's had a hot stick lately with three goals and four assists over his last three games. The 24-year-old has taken advantage of some easier matchups in that span, but it's good to see him finding his touch to maintain his second-line role. He's now at nine goals, 16 helpers, 49 shots on net, 26 hits and a minus-12 rating over 35 appearances between the Canucks and the Wild this season.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Breaks through twice on power play

Pettersson scored a pair of power-play goal on four shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

Pettersson was limited to 10 assists during his 20-game goal drought before putting two pucks past Sergei Bobrovsky in the first period. The 27-year-old Pettersson is still struggling this season, but he has matched his 15-goal output from last year in five fewer games. The center has 40 points, 107 shots on net, 94 blocked shots, 54 hits and a minus-19 rating across 59 appearances this season.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Collects rare win

Lankinen stopped 21 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

Lankinen's last win was Jan. 21 over the Capitals. He went 0-7-1 with 34 goals allowed over 10 appearances between victories. The 30-year-old hasn't gotten much help from his teammates most of the time, which explains most of his struggles this season. He's up to 8-21-5 with a 3.60 GAA and an .878 save percentage over 37 appearances. The Canucks have a tougher matchup ahead when they host the Lightning on Thursday.

  • Canucks' Braeden Cootes: Three-point effort for Raiders

Cootes scored a goal and added two assists in WHL Prince Albert's 8-4 win over Regina on Tuesday.

Cootes has two goals and eight assists over four contests in March. For the season, he's up to 23 goals and 61 points over 44 appearances between the Raiders and the Thunderbirds, putting him two points shy of his 63-point campaign in 60 games with WHL Seattle in the 2024-25 regular season. Cootes has time to elevate his numbers some more, especially with the momentum he's currently carrying.

  • Taylor Makar LW | COL

Avalanche's Taylor Makar: Logs three points

Makar scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Colorado's 6-5 shootout loss to San Diego on Tuesday.

Makar had missed a couple of weeks due to an injury, but he returned with a big game. He's up to 10 goals and 18 points through 43 outings in his first full AHL campaign, and he also has 12 NHL appearances to his name. It's unlikely he'll get much of a look with the Avalanche late in the season.

  • Sam Colangelo RW | ANA

Ducks' Sam Colangelo: Grabs three points

Colangelo scored a goal and added two assists in AHL San Diego's 6-5 shootout win over Colorado on Tuesday.

Colangelo has three goals and five assists over his last eight games. He continues to be steady with 26 points over 39 outings in the AHL this season. Unless injuries pop up in Anaheim, Colangelo is likely to spend the rest of the campaign in San Diego.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Hits rough patch

Bussi made 25 saves in a 5-1 loss to Columbus on Tuesday.

This game wasn't on Bussi per se, but he wasn't part of the solution either. Coach Rod Brind'Amour was blunt with reporters after the game: "If you're going to lose, that's probably the way you want to do it. You don't want to lose but play well. This was not a game we played well. Throw it away and come back tomorrow (against the Pittsburgh Penguins)." Bussi is on a personal three-game losing streak, and he's 2-3-0 in his last five starts. He has allowed at least four goals in four of those five games (.835).

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Second time in career to 25 goals

Svechnikov (undisclosed) scored a goal Tuesday in a 5-1 loss to Columbus.

The goal was his 25th. It's the second time Svechnikov has hit that milestone. He first did it in the 2021-22 regular season, which is also the year he set his career mark for goals (30), assists (39), power-play points (22) and shots (249). Svechnikov has already equaled the PPP mark this season, and with continued health, he could equal his goal mark and break his point mark.
