  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Hits two milestones in win

McDavid scored twice on four shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Mammoth.

McDavid's first goal was the 400th of his career, and his second, the empty-netter to seal the win, was his 1,200th regular-season point. This was just his 784th regular-season contest, making him the third-fastest player to reach 1,200 points behind Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. March has been good to McDavid, who has five goals and 10 helpers over 11 contests this month. He's at 40 tallies -- a mark he's reached in five of his 11 seasons -- with 78 assists, 261 shots on net, 36 hits, 34 PIM and a plus-10 rating through 72 appearances.

  • Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Gets back in win column

Jarry stopped 16 of 18 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Mammoth.

Jarry didn't face a lot of traffic in this outing, his first since he allowed seven goals to the Stars on March 12. The 30-year-old was able to get by with a flurry of goals that put the Oilers ahead for good in the second period. Jarry is up to 18-9-2 with a 3.34 GAA and an .883 save percentage over 30 appearances this season. While he got the win, it wasn't the type of performance that sets him up well to challenge Connor Ingram for the starting job. The Oilers' next game is Thursday in Vegas.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: League goal leader scores again

MacKinnon scored a goal Tuesday in a 6-2 win over the Penguins.

It was his league-leading 46th goal of the season. It was MacKinnon's 300th career even-strength goal, which is the second-most in Avalanche/Quebec Nordiques franchise history behind Joe Sakic (388). The goal gets MacKinnon back on the scoresheet after his five-game, 10-point scoring streak was snapped Sunday.

  • Sam Malinski D | COL

Avalanche's Sam Malinski: Quietly turning heads

Malinski had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win over the Penguins on Tuesday.

Malinski wired a wrist shot off the left post and in during a flurry of three Avs goals in a 1:55 span. The defender, who has 31 points (four goals, 27 assists) and 75 blocks in 70 games this season, had gone five games without a point. Still, he has more than doubled his previous career mark of 15 points (2024-25). Malinksi has done almost all his damage at even strength -- just one assist has come with the man advantage, and that came in mid-November.

  • Martin Necas C | COL

    Avalanche's Martin Necas: Three-game, seven-point streak

Necas scored twice in a 6-2 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

His first goal stood as the winner; it came on the power play. Necas has seven points (three goals, four assists) and nine shots on his current three-game point streak. He continues to blast toward his first triple-digit point season. Necas has already obliterated his previous best (71 points) with 88 (34 goals, 54 assists) in 67 games. He sits sixth in the NHL in scoring, ahead of David Pastrnak (87).

  • Jeff Malott LW | LA

Kings' Jeff Malott: Slumping on offense

Malott's point drought reached nine games in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flames.

Malott has just two helpers over 16 contests since the start of February. His slump could cost him playing time -- he sat out Sunday versus the Mammoth but bumped Alex Turcotte back out of the lineup Tuesday. Malott has minimal fantasy upside -- he's at nine points, 49 shots on net, 154 hits, 41 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 53 appearances this season.

  • Joel Armia RW | LA

Kings' Joel Armia: Gathers helper in shootout loss

Armia notched an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flames.

Armia missed 10 games due to an upper-body injury just after the Olympic break, and he's been back in action for three contests. The 32-year-old winger is filling a bottom-six role, so his offense is likely to remain limited. He has 21 points, 68 shots on net, 59 hits, 32 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 56 appearances.

  • Kings' Quinton Byfield: Scores twice in shootout loss

Byfield scored two goals on three shots in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flames.

Byfield logged his third multi-point effort in the last five games with this performance. He has four goals and three assists in that span. Late surges aren't unusual for Byfield -- he picked up 12 goals and 20 points after the start of March in the 2024-25 regular season. This year's push has started a little later, but it makes the 23-year-old an interesting option for fantasy managers in need of a boost. He's now at 17 goals, 40 points, 148 shots on net, 53 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 68 appearances this season.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Takes loss in playoff-like game

Gustavsson made 19 saves in a 6-3 loss to Tampa Bay on Tuesday. He allowed four goals.

The game was a deadlock until there was just 2:53 left in the third -- the teams were playing playoff hockey. Gustavsson is 26-12-6 with four shutouts, 2.51 GAA and .911 save percentage this season. Since mid-January, he is 12-3-1 with a .909 save percentage in 16 appearances. Gustavsson is the top dog in the Wild net right now. Jesper Wallstedt has tremendous promise, but he's 2-5-2 with an .890 save percentage in eight outings in the same span.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Falls in shootout

Kuemper stopped 21 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flames.

Kuemper wasn't able to protect a pair of one-goal leads. He then faltered in the shootout, allowing goals to two of the four Calgary shooters to cost the Kings a point in the standings from what was a winnable matchup. He's taken three straight losses past regulation time, giving up nine goals on 77 shots in that span. For the season, Kuemper has a 17-13-13 record with a 2.66 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 45 starts. The Kings' next game is another favorable one as they visit the Canucks on Thursday.
