  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Slated to start against Rangers

Greaves is set to start Thursday's home game against the Rangers, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Greaves was in the starter's crease during Thursday's morning skate, and he'll draw a third consecutive start. He's been dominant over his last two outings, going 2-0-0 with a 0.96 GAA and .958 save percentage.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Between pipes Thursday

Wallstedt will tend the twine at home against the Blackhawks on Thursday, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Wallstedt hasn't secured a victory in six straight appearances, though some of those were brief relief outings. Still, the backup netminder is 0-2-2 over that stretch with a 3.09 GAA. While Wallstedt should get some opportunities in the stretch run, he is firmly cemented behind Filip Gustavsson as the No. 2 option in Minnesota.

  • Bobby Brink RW | MIN

Wild's Bobby Brink: Set to return Thursday

Brink (upper body) is slated to return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blackhawks, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Brink has missed the last four games due to an upper-body injury, but it appears as though he'll be back in action against Chicago. Across eight appearances since the Olympic break, he's recorded a goal, two assists, eight hits and six blocked shots while averaging 15:50 of ice time.

  • Roby Jarventie LW | EDM

Oilers' Roby Jarventie: Recalled from AHL

Jarventie was summoned from AHL Bakersfield on an emergency basis Thursday.

Jarventie has spent the entire season at AHL Bakersfield, tallying 17 goals and 19 assists over 52 games. Edmonton was down to 12 healthy forwards, requiring the need for a callup from the minors. The Oilers placed Leon Draisaitl (lower body) on long-term injured reserve in a corresponding move.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Goes on long-term injured reserve

Draisaitl (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Thursday.

Draisaitl sustained the injury in Sunday's matchup against Nashville, and the Oilers announced Tuesday that he would miss the remainder of the regular season. He had 35 goals and 62 assists, including 42 points on the power play, over 65 games. The Oilers recalled Roby Jarventie from AHL Bakersfield on an emergency basis in a corresponding move.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Set to start Thursday

Hellebuyck is slated to start Thursday's road game against Boston, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Hellebuyck will start for the ninth time over the Jets' 10 games in March, and he's gone 4-2-2 with a 2.36 GAA and .907 save percentage across his previous eight outings. The Bruins are generating 3.25 goals per game this year, which ranks 11th in the NHL.

  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

Jets' Neal Pionk: Cleared for contact

Pionk (undisclosed) was skating in a regular jersey ahead of Thursday's clash with Boston, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Pionk remains on injured reserve, but the fact that he is with the team on its three-game road trip is certainly a sign that he is nearing a return to action. If the defenseman does get into the lineup, it would be his first appearance since Jan. 13 versus the Isles, a stretch of 22 games on inured reserve.

  • Red Wings' Michael Brandsegg-Nygard: Could return to action Thursday

Head coach Todd McLellan said that Brandsegg-Nygard (undisclosed) is close to returning and is a possibility for Thursday's game against the Canadiens, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Brandsegg-Nygard has missed the last two games due to an unspecified issue, but his return to the lineup appears to be imminent. He's made three appearances for the Red Wings since being recalled in early March, recording eight hits and three shots on goal while averaging 11:47 of ice time.

  • Andrew Copp C | DET

Red Wings' Andrew Copp: Game-time call Thursday

Copp (leg) will be a game-time decision versus Montreal on Thursday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Copp was injured March 10 in Florida and was supposed to be out at least two weeks. The center has eight goals, 37 points and 94 shots on goal over 65 games with the Red Wings this season. Should Copp return to the lineup, look for Sheldon Dries to be the odd-man out.

  • Rangers' Urho Vaakanainen: Won't play against Jackets

Vaakanainen (upper body) will not be in the lineup versus Columbus on Thursday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.

Vaakanainen didn't make the trip to Columbus, but for now, he should be considered day-to-day. With the blueliner on the shelf, Connor Mackey or Vincent Iorio figures to step into the lineup for the Rangers on Thursday. For his part, the 27-year-old Vaakanainen has yet to score a goal in 33 outings this year while chipping in six assists.
