  • David Perron LW | DET

Red Wings' David Perron: Activated Saturday

Perron (groin) was activated from injured reserve Saturday.

Perron's return will help a forward group that has been pummeled by injuries lately. The 37-year-old is likely to see middle-six minutes moving forward, though it's not clear if he'll be an everyday player.

  • Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Lights lamp twice in shootout win

McAvoy scored two goals in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals.

The star blueliner put pucks past Logan Thompson in the second and third periods, tying the game each time, to set up an epic nine-round shootout that was finally ended by Fraser Minten. McAvoy has nine goals on the season, and five of them have come in nine games since the Olympic break -- a stretch in which he's racked up 10 points.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Stellar in shootout Saturday

Swayman stopped 25 shots in regulation and overtime and all nine shootout attempts he faced in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.

After a scoreless first period, the Bruins fell behind by a goal in the second and third frames, only for Charlie McAvoy to bail them out each time. It was Swayman who shone in the shootout, however, as he stifled every Washington skater he saw until Fraser Minten finally found a winner against Logan Thompson in the other crease. Swayman has won four of his last five starts, allowing nine goals on 129 shots (.930 save percentage) over that stretch, and Saturday's win gave him a new career high with 26 on the season.

  • Blackhawks' Vaclav Nestrasil: Three points in win

Nestrasil scored a goal and added two assists in UMass-Amherst's 4-1 win over Northeastern University on Saturday.

Nestrasil played a leading role in the win for the Minutemen, which keeps them going in the Hockey East tournament. He's up to 13 goals and 31 points over 33 appearances this season as a freshman. The Blackhawks prospect has shown few struggles in adjusting to the NCAA after two years in the USHL.

  • Lightning's Declan Carlile: Expected to miss 4-5 weeks

Carlile (lower body) is expected to miss the next 4-5 weeks, the team announced Saturday.

Carlile has a goal, three points, 23 PIM, 46 hits and 30 blocks in 38 outings in 2025-26. His exit from the lineup coincides with Erik Cernak returning Saturday versus Carolina from an undisclosed injury. Carlile will be in the mix for a third-pairing spot once he's healthy.

  • Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Sitting out Saturday

Gudbranson (upper body) won't play Saturday versus the Flyers, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Gudbranson will miss his third straight game after being labeled a game-time decision for Saturday's contest. Egor Zamula will draw in on the third pairing against his former team. Gudbranson's next chance to play is Tuesday versus the Hurricanes.

  • Flyers' Christian Dvorak: Expected to play Saturday

Dvorak (undisclosed) is slated to play against Columbus on Saturday, per Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Dvorak was originally termed as a game-time decision, but he ultimately won't miss a match due to the injury. He has 13 goals and 38 points in 64 outings in 2025-26. Dvorak is projected to play alongside Alex Bump and Travis Konecny on the second line.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

    Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Remains out

Kozak (undisclosed) won't play Saturday versus the Maple Leafs, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

Kozak will miss his sixth straight game. It's not clear if he'll head out on the road with the Sabres on their trip, which begins Tuesday in Vegas.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Slated to start Saturday

Vasilevskiy is expected to start at home against Carolina on Saturday, per Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com.

Vasilevskiy stopped 24 of 25 shots en route to a 4-1 win over Detroit on Thursday. He improved to 30-11-3 with a 2.29 GAA and a .913 save percentage in 44 outings this campaign. Carolina is tied for sixth in goals per game with 3.46 this season.

  • Kings' Anton Forsberg: Guarding goal Saturday

Forsberg will protect the road goal versus the Devils on Saturday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Forsberg has played just once in the last five games, allowing four goals on 32 shots in an overtime win over the Blue Jackets on Monday. He has allowed at least three goals in six of his last seven outings. The Devils have scored 21 goals over their last six games, going 4-2-0 in that span.
