Wilmer Skoog C | DET
Wilmer Skoog: Doesn't receive QO
The Panthers did not present a qualifying offer to Skoog on Monday, per Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.
Skoog is now set to test the free-agent market Wednesday. The Swedish forward made his NHL debut with Florida this past season, picking up two helpers over three games. Skoog also had 18 goals, 37 points and a plus-12 rating across 61 regular-season games with AHL Charlotte in 2025-26. Those are relatively solid numbers for a player who was never drafted by an NHL team, so Skoog should be able to secure at least a two-way contract when free agency kicks off Wednesday.

Cole Schwindt RW | FLA
Cole Schwindt: Let go by Florida
Schwindt was not tendered a qualifying offer from the Panthers on Monday, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.
Schwindt played in 29 games with Florida in 2025-26, accumulating five goals, seven points, 39 hits and a plus-2 rating. The winger missed a considerable amount of time due to injuries. Schwindt has appeared in 78 NHL regular-season games during his career, so he should be able to link up with a new organization July 1.

Evan Nause D | FLA
Evan Nause: Not qualified by Florida
The Panthers did not give a qualifying offer to Nause on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Nause was a second-round draft pick by Florida in 2021, but he seemingly isn't close to making his NHL debut. The defenseman has only nine games of AHL experience, which came during the 2023-24 campaign with the Checkers. Nause put up four goals and 22 points over 65 outings with ECHL Savannah in 2025-26.

Michael Benning D | CGY
Michael Benning: Eligible to link up with new team
Benning was not tendered a qualifying offer from Florida on Monday, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.
Benning, a right-shot blueliner, made his NHL debut in 2025-26. The 24-year-old suited up for 18 games with the Panthers, registering two goals and six points. Benning spent the majority of the year with AHL Charlotte, though, as he accrued eight goals and 31 points over 57 regular-season contests with the Checkers. Benning should have no problem drawing interest when free agency opens Wednesday.

Donovan Sebrango D | FLA
Donovan Sebrango: Not extended qualifying offer
Sebrango did not receive a qualifying offer from the Panthers on Monday, per Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.
Sebrango is now free to sign with any other NHL club when free agency opens July 1. The left-shot defenseman was claimed off waivers by Florida from Ottawa at the beginning of last season. Sebrango went on to supply eight helpers and 76 hits over 40 games with the Panthers, in addition to appearing in two regular-season contests with the Senators.

Ivan Ivan C | BOS
Bruins' Ivan Ivan: Inks two-way deal
Ivan signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Bruins on Monday.
It did not take long for Ivan to come to terms on a contract agreement with his new club, as the forward was brought in from Colorado in exchange for Fabian Lysell on Saturday. Ivan will be a solid organizational depth piece for Boston, but he could see time with the Bruins if injuries arise or if he forces the team's hand with strong play in the minors.
-
Massimo Rizzo C | PHI
Massimo Rizzo: Going to free agency
The Rangers chose not to extend a qualifying offer to Rizzo on Monday, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
Rizzo played in both the AHL and ECHL in 2025-26. The seventh-round pick by Carolina in 2020 has never appeared in an NHL game, so if he signs with a new organization when free agency opens, Rizzo will almost certainly have to settle for a two-way deal.
-
Kyle Masters D | CAR
Kyle Masters: Doesn't receive qualifying offer
Masters is slated to become an unrestricted free agent Wednesday after he didn't receive a qualifying offer from the Ducks.
Masters and the No. 192 pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft were traded to the Ducks from the Hurricanes on Saturday in exchange for the rights to John Carlson. However, Masters will have an opportunity to test the open market ahead of the 2026-27 season. He played exclusively for ECHL Wichita last year, recording three assists across 10 regular-season appearances.
-
Brendan Brisson C | TOR
Brendan Brisson: Set to be UFA
Brisson was not tendered a qualifying offer from the Rangers on Monday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Brisson spent the bulk of his time with AHL Hartford in 2025-26, generating 19 goals and 37 points across 66 outings. The 2020 first-round selection (No. 29 overall) also contributed one assist over three games with the Rangers last season. Considering that Brisson was a relatively high draft pick, he should have no problem finding a new team to sign with July 1, even if it's a two-way deal.
