Canucks' Zeev Buium: Snags helper in Friday's win

Buium recorded an assist in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Buium set up a Jake DeBrusk tally in a frantic first period. The helper was Buium's first point in five games since he returned from a broken bone near his cheek that sidelined him for five contests prior to the Olympics. The defenseman is up to 21 points, 53 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 56 outings between the Canucks and the Wild in his rookie year.

  • Blackhawks' Drew Commesso: Set to join NHL club

Commesso will be recalled from AHL Rockford ahead of Sunday's road game against Dallas, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

Due to the absence of Spencer Knight (illness), Commesso will be an option for Sunday's matchup versus the Stars. The 23-year-old Commesso has stopped 55 of the 60 shots he has faced in two NHL outings this season while providing a 1-1-0 record and one shutout.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Unavailable for Sunday

Knight (illness) will not accompany the team to Dallas for Sunday's tilt, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

Knight missed Friday's game against Vancouver due to the illness. The hope is that he will be good to go Monday when Utah plays in Chicago. Knight is 16-18-8 with three shutouts, a 2.63 GAA and a .908 save percentage. The Blackhawks recalled Drew Commesso on Saturday, and he could start in Dallas on Sunday.

  • Canucks' Marcus Pettersson: Picks up pair of helpers

Pettersson notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Pettersson has three helpers over three games in March. The 29-year-old defenseman continues to see plenty of playing time in a top-four role for the Canucks. He's at 14 points, 56 shots on net, 56 hits, 56 PIM and 104 blocked shots over 62 appearances. Pettersson can help in deeper fantasy formats that count blocks, but his overall profile isn't enticing on a bad team.

  • Dylan Larkin C | DET

Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Out for Sunday's contest

Larkin (leg) will not play in Sunday's road clash against New Jersey.

Head coach Todd McLellan ruled Larkin out for Sunday's contest, but he added that the center will be considered day-to-day ahead of each game of Detroit's four-game road trip until his return. Larkin picked up the injury in Friday's contest against Florida and will miss his first game of the season. Overall, the 29-year-old star has 28 goals, 27 assists, 190 shots on net, 34 hits and 31 blocked shots across 63 games this season. His next chance to return to action is Tuesday against the Panthers.

  • Canucks' Teddy Blueger: Pots goal in win

Blueger scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Blueger snapped a four-game point drought with the tally. The 31-year-old center was subject to trade rumors prior to Friday's deadline, but he'll stick with the Canucks to close out this season before testing free agency in the summer. The defensive center has earned six goals, three assists, 26 shots on net, 34 hits and a minus-1 rating over 15 appearances in an injury-riddled campaign.

  • Drew O'Connor LW | VAN

Canucks' Drew O'Connor: Scores in Friday's win

O'Connor scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

O'Connor has two goals and an assist over his last five games. The 27-year-old forward continues to fill a middle-six role, and he's also been picking up power-play time more regularly since the Olympic break. For the season, he has 15 goals, 24 points, 91 shots on net, 53 hits, 34 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 62 appearances.

  • Red Wings' Jacob Bernard-Docker: Playing time likely to slip

Bernard-Docker's point drought reached 10 games in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers.

Bernard-Docker has played in 26 consecutive games, but he has just three assists, 11 shots on net, a plus-8 rating, 30 hits and 45 blocked shots in that span. The Red Wings' trade for Justin Faulk will almost certainly cost Bernard-Docker playing time, though Travis Hamonic and Axel Sandin-Pellikka are also likely to rotate in and out of the lineup at times. With just four helpers over 47 contests in 2025-26, Bernard-Docker's drop in playing time won't be noticed in fantasy.

  • Red Wings' Michael Rasmussen: Cold on offense

Rasmussen's point drought reached 19 games in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers.

Rasmussen skated a season-low 7:43 in Friday's loss. The 26-year-old is on the fourth line and plays a decent physical game, but he won't be a factor in fantasy without a little offense. He has just 14 points with 61 shots on net, 59 hits, 52 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 58 appearances.

  • Alex DeBrincat RW | DET

Red Wings' Alex DeBrincat: Nets lone goal in loss

DeBrincat scored a power-play goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers.

DeBrincat extended his point streak to four games (three goals, three assists). This was his first power-play contribution since Jan. 18 versus the Senators. The 28-year-old winger is up to 33 goals, 63 points (18 on the power play), 218 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 63 appearances. He's playing near the upper range of his abilities this season, giving him a chance to reach the 80-point mark for the first time.
