Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, according to Sports TV host Julie Stewart-Binks, indicating he will defend the road net against Toronto on Saturday.
Vasilevskiy has gone 0-3-0 in his last three outings while surrendering 12 goals on 64 shots. He has a 28-10-3 record this season with two shutouts, a 2.28 GAA and a .913 save percentage across 41 appearances. Toronto is tied for 14th in the league with 3.16 goals per game during the 2025-26 campaign.

Zach Werenski D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Ready to play Saturday
Werenski (Illness) will return to action against Utah on Saturday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Following a three-game absence, Werenski will return to the lineup after recovering from a stomach bug. He has amassed 20 goals, 65 points, 195 shots on net and 68 blocked shots across 54 appearances this season.

Mason Marchment LW | CLB
Blue Jackets' Mason Marchment: Playing Saturday
Marchment (lower body) is expected to be in the lineup Saturday versus Utah, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Marchment sustained the injury in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Panthers, but all the test results returned negative. He has 10 goals and 17 points in 19 games since being traded from Seattle earlier in the season. Marchment should see first-line time alongside Adam Fantilli and Kirill Marchenko and see action on the first power-play unit.

Tristan Jarry G | EDM
Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Beaten five times Friday
Jarry stopped 26 of 31 shots in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.
Jarry made his first start since Feb. 4, when he conceded four goals and made 21 saves in a loss to the Flames. It marked his fourth straight outing without a win while protecting the Oilers' crease, going 0-3-0 with a 5.71 GAA and .812 save percentage over that stretch while allowing at least four goals each time. Connor Ingram could start to play a bit more regularly in the near future, given Jarry's recent struggles.

Cale Makar D | COL
Avalanche's Cale Makar: Two points in Dallas
Makar produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.
Both points came in the first period, as Makar opened the scoring early in the frame before having a hand in a Nathan MacKinnon tally with just two seconds left before intermission. Playing for Team Canada in the Olympics seems to have rejuvenated Makar. The star blueliner had just one goal and four points in the last 10 games before the break. However, he has busted out for four goals and nine points in six games since the NHL schedule resumed.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Defending crease Saturday
Thompson will guard the road net against Boston on Saturday, per Mike Vogel of the Capitals' official site.
Thompson is coming off a 20-save effort in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Utah. He has a 21-17-4 record this campaign with two shutouts, a 2.42 GAA and a .913 save percentage across 42 appearances. Boston sits ninth in the league with 3.33 goals per game this season.

Nathan MacKinnon C | COL
Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Three-point effort in win
MacKinnon scored a power-play goal and added two assists, one with the man advantage, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.
The 30-year-old superstar continues to lead the field in the race for the Rocket Richard Trophy, as his 42 goals are five ahead of Cole Caufield. MacKinnon also leads the league with a plus-55 rating, and his 103 points are second behind Connor McDavid's 106. Over seven games in February, MacKinnon has piled up two goals and 12 points.
-
Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Earns win despite subpar outing
Andersen stopped 13 of 16 shots in Friday's 6-3 win over the Oilers.
Andersen got back to winning ways after sitting out the 6-4 win over the Canucks on Wednesday and losing against the Kraken on Monday. That said, this was far from his best showing, as the 36-year-old veteran posted an underwhelming .813 save percentage in the game. Andersen has posted a save percentage below .870 in his last two starts.
-
Martin Necas C | COL
Avalanche's Martin Necas: Leads charge in comeback win
Necas scored a goal and added three assists, two on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.
The 27-year-old not only had a hand in every Colorado goal during regulation, but he beat Jake Oettinger for the shootout-winner. Necas has multiple points in five of six games since the Olympic break, a blistering stretch in which he's racked up six goals and 14 points. Friday's tally was also his 28th of the season, tying his career high, and his stunning plus-43 rating ranks second in the NHL behind teammate Nathan MacKinnon's plus-55.

Gage Goncalves C | TB
Lightning's Gage Goncalves: Ruled out Saturday
Goncalves (lower body) will be unavailable against Toronto on Saturday, according to Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.
General manager Julien BriseBois said that Goncalves is day-to-day. The 25-year-old forward will miss his third straight game after he was injured Feb. 28 against the Sabres. Goncalves has seven goals and 20 points over 54 games this season. It's unclear if he will be ready to return against Buffalo on Sunday.
