  • Kings' Quinton Byfield: Tallies lone goal in loss

Byfield scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Flames.

Byfield's goal gave him five points over the last three games of the regular season. He also set a career high with his 24th tally of the year, though he was unable to reach 50 points for a third straight campaign. The 23-year-old ends the regular season at 49 points, 180 shots on net, 66 hits, 44 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 79 appearances. Byfield has already started to take on significant minutes, a sign that he could be the heir apparent to the top-line center job that the retiring Anze Kopitar will vacate at the end of the Kings' playoff run.

  • Kings' Anton Forsberg: Takes loss against Calgary

Forsberg allowed two goals on 20 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Flames.

Forsberg's five-game winning streak was snapped with this result. The loss ultimately didn't matter -- both Edmonton and Anaheim won Thursday, which would have prevented the Kings from moving out of the second wild-card spot. Forsberg concludes the regular season at 16-12-5 with a 2.57 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 36 games. He played better than Darcy Kuemper down the stretch, but it remains to be seen which goalie gets the nod Sunday for Game 1 versus the Avalanche, a series in which the Kings will be heavy underdogs.

  • Matvei Gridin RW | CGY

Flames' Matvei Gridin: Delivers assist in win

Gridin notched an assist in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Gridin was able to play in the last two games of the year after missing a contest versus the Mammoth on Sunday due to an illness. All in all, the 20-year-old took a big step to being an NHL regular in 2025-26, earning 20 points, 70 shots on net and a minus-14 rating over 37 appearances. Gridin should have the inside track to make the Flames out of training camp in the fall.

  • Alex Killorn LW | ANA

Ducks' Alex Killorn: Three points in last four games

Killorn notched a goal Thursday in a 5-4 win over Nashville.

Killorn has been a sturdy middle-six performer for the Ducks this season. He has three points, including two goals, in his last four games, and he finished the season with 33 points, including 15 goals, in 82 games. Killorn's two Stanley Cup rings from his time with the Lightning will surely be a focal point for the young Ducks as they enter their first postseason since 2018.

  • Ryan Strome C | CGY

    Flames' Ryan Strome: Collects helper

Strome notched an assist in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Strome was out of the lineup for two of the Flames' last five games. The 32-year-old center ends the campaign with 21 points, 57 shots on net and a minus-8 rating over 52 appearances between Calgary and Anaheim. Strome is under contract for one more season and can be expected to fill a middle-six role to start 2026-27.

  • Flames' Matthew Coronato: Nabs assist in finale

Coronato notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Coronato missed one game due to an undisclosed injury. He got on the scoresheet in 12 of his last 15 outings, totaling four goals and 11 assists in that span. The 23-year-old's playmaking touch is encouraging, especially since he was regarded for his shot when selected 13th overall in 2021. Coronato ended the campaign at 45 points, 197 shots on net and a minus-29 rating over 80 appearances.

  • Flames' Zach Whitecloud: Supplies pair of assists

Whitecloud notched two assists, two shots on goal, three hits, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Whitecloud ended the campaign with four helpers over his last six games. The 29-year-old defenseman had a total of 17 points (two goals, 15 assists) while adding 67 shots on net, 124 hits, 140 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 78 appearances between Calgary and Vegas. Whitecloud typically won't put up a lot of offense, but the Flames' rebuild has afforded more playing time than he's seen at any other time in his career.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Ducks' John Carlson: Fifth 60-point season

Carlson picked up two assists in a 5-4 win over Nashville on Thursday.

It was Carlson's fifth career 60-point season (14 goals, 46 assists). He, Jakob Chychrun and Moritz Seider finished in a tie for 11th in NHL scoring from the blue line. Carlson is in rare air for defenders with so many 60-point campaigns -- the only active defensemen with more are Erik Karlsson (eight) and Brent Burns (six).

  • Zayne Parekh D | CGY

Flames' Zayne Parekh: Finds twine in win

Parekh scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Parekh ended his rookie season at four goals and five assists across 37 contests. He earned seven of his nine points over the last 14 games of the season, growing in confidence as his responsibilities increased. The 20-year-old defenseman will likely be a full-time NHL option in 2026-27, and his scoring potential will give him some fantasy upside.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Ducks' Ville Husso: Wins season finale

Husso made 17 saves in a 5-4 win over the Predators on Thursday.

Husso finished the regular season with a 10-8-2 record, 3.25 GAA and .884 save percentage in 19 starts. Barring a twist of fate, Husso will warm the end of the bench as Lukas Dostal leads the Ducks' first postseason charge since 2018.
