Jacob Bryson D | WPG
Jets' Jacob Bryson: Flipped in trade
Bryson, Isak Rosen, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick were traded to the Jets from the Sabres on Thursday in exchange for Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.
Bryson will help replenish the Jets' defensive depth after they flipped two blueliners in this deal. In 35 appearances this season, Bryson has five points and 20 blocked shots. He has a total of six goals and 42 assists over 289 contests in parts of six seasons with the Sabres in his career, so he isn't likely to do much with the Jets.

Luke Schenn D | BUF
Sabres' Luke Schenn: Dealt to Buffalo
Schenn and Logan Stanley were traded to the Sabres from the Jets on Thursday in exchange for Isak Rosen, Jacob Bryson, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.
Schenn continues to rack up frequent flier miles -- this is the third time he's been traded in the last year, give or take a day. Schenn is a physical defenseman who can bring critical physicality in a third-pairing role, but he's not a lock to be in the lineup regularly for the Sabres, who may want to keep Michael Kesselring active more often. Schenn is good insurance for any injuries that could happen down the stretch, and his physical play will also be useful if Buffalo is able to get into the playoffs. He has just seven points with 139 hits and 54 blocked shots over 46 outings this season.

Logan Stanley D | BUF
Sabres' Logan Stanley: Heading to Buffalo
Stanley and Luke Schenn were traded to the Sabres from the Jets on Thursday in exchange for Isak Rosen, Jacob Bryson, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.
Stanley picked a good season to have a career year, collecting 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) with 74 shots on net, 96 hits, 69 blocked shots and 99 PIM over 59 appearances. The 27-year-old is a pending unrestricted free agent. With the Sabres, he'll likely be limited to a bottom-four role and no power-play time, as Rasmus Dahlin, Bowen Byram and Owen Power already command big minutes in prime situations. That means Stanley's offense will take a hit, though he could do more with less ice time since he's likely to get more favorable matchups.

Joseph Woll G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Allows five goals in loss
Woll made 18 saves in a 6-2 loss to the Rangers on Thursday. He allowed five goals.
The Leafs were solid through 60 minutes before the wheels came off, leaving Woll on his own in the third period. The score ballooned from 2-2 to the final score. The team is starting to trade off players before Friday's deadline, so Woll's job is about to get a bit harder, especially if Oliver Ekman-Larsson is sent out of town. Woll hasn't won since the break (0-3-0) and is 13-10-4 with a 3.13 GAA and .904 save percentage in 28 games.

Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Undefeated in regulation in four
Shesterkin made 29 saves in a 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Thursday.
It was the Rangers' first regulation win at home since they beat the Blues 3-2 on Nov. 24, 2025 (19 games). Shesterkin isn't the issue in New York -- he's undefeated in regulation since the break (2-0-2), and he's 19-12-6 with a 2.50 GAA and .912 save percentage in 38 starts. Wins may get tougher to acquire with guys like Vincent Trocheck and Sam Carrick likely headed out by deadline.

Conor Garland RW | CLB
Blue Jackets' Conor Garland: Off to Columbus
Garland was traded to the Blue Jackets from the Canucks on Thursday in exchange for a 2028 second-round pick and a 2026 third-round pick, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Garland signed a six-year, $36 million extension with the Canucks back in July, but he'll begin that deal as a member of the Blue Jackets following the trade. The 29-year-old winger figures to be a top-six regular for Columbus moving forward. He had a rough season in Vancouver with 26 points over 50 contests, but he had posted at least 46 points in each of his first four years with the Canucks before struggling in 2025-26. The Blue Jackets are banking that he'll be able to rediscover that form with a change of scenery, and playing for a team on the rise rather than one facing more retooling will likely help his numbers.

Clayton Keller RW | UTA
Mammoth's Clayton Keller: Pots goal Thursday
Keller scored a goal in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.
Keller doubled Utah's lead with a backhander at the 8:03 mark of the second period. The veteran is up 19 goals on the season, and he's been very productive of late with points in six of his last seven contests, tallying 11 points (three goals, eight helpers) in that span.

Nick Schmaltz C | UTA
Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: Scores, assists in win
Schmaltz scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.
Schmaltz opened the scoring for Utah after notching a power-play tally at the 1:38 mark of the second frame. The star winger wasn't done, however, and he set up Clayton Keller's goal at the 8:03 mark of the second frame. Schmaltz is up to 58 points (24 goals, 34 assists) across 62 regular-season appearances. He's very close to reaching the 60-point mark for a third straight year, and it wouldn't be shocking if he sets a new career-high mark in points if he remains as productive as he's been lately.

Vladislav Gavrikov D | NYR
Rangers' Vladislav Gavrikov: Three-game, three-point streak
Gavrikov scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
Gavrikov is on a three-game, three-point scoring streak that includes two goals. The goal was his 11th (24 points; 61 games). Gavrikov has never scored more than six goals in any of his eight seasons, so this is a true lightning in a bottle year for the Russian defender.

Vitek Vanecek G | UTA
Mammoth's Vitek Vanecek: Posts 16-save shutout
Vanecek recorded a 16-save shutout in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.
Vanecek didn't have a lot of work throughout the game, but he got the job done and secured his first shutout of the campaign. This was the first start for the 30-year-old netminder since Jan. 27, and since he's the team's clear No. 2 option between the pipes behind Karel Vejmelka, Vanecek won't have a lot of upside -- and even when he starts, his value is strictly matchup-based.
