  • John Beecher C | CGY

Flames' John Beecher: Snags helper Sunday

Beecher posted an assist and three blocked shots in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Beecher has reclaimed a fourth-line role following the Olympic break. He was sidelined by an upper-body injury for 15 contests prior to the break. The 24-year-old forward has a goal, three assists, 25 shots on net, 20 hits, 22 blocked shots, 29 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 28 appearances between Calgary and Boston this season.

  • Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Strikes on power play

Sharangovich scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Sharangovich snapped an eight-game point drought with his second-period tally to put the Flames ahead 2-1. The 27-year-old forward has moved around the lineup at times this season, in part due to his inconsistent offense. He now has 12 goals, 21 points (six on the power play), 107 shots on net and a minus-19 rating through 55 contests.

  • Joel Farabee LW | CGY

Flames' Joel Farabee: Deposits goal in shootout loss

Farabee scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Farabee and Ducks goalie Lukas Dostal had a few moments in this game. Farabee took the first penalty of the game for interfering with the goalie, then got robbed on a shot shortly after he came out of the box. Farabee would get even with his goal midway through the first period, giving him three tallies and five points over his last six contests. The winger is at 13 goals, 25 points, 104 shots on net, 40 hits, 39 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 59 appearances this season.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Handed shootout loss

Cooley gave up two goals on 36 shots in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Cooley put in a good effort, but a bad bounce and a power-play snipe, both by Cutter Gauthier, led to the two goals against Cooley in regulation time. The Ducks added two tallies in the shootout to get the win. Cooley continues to be one of the better backups in the NHL, providing a steady option to give Dustin Wolf a breather from time to time. Cooley is 7-6-4 with a 2.24 GAA and a .923 save percentage over 20 appearances. Fantasy managers in weekly formats may want to steer clear of the 28-year-old for the week ahead, as the Flames host three of the NHL's top 11 offenses with games against the Stars on Tuesday, the Senators on Thursday and the Hurricanes on Sunday.

  • Ducks' Cutter Gauthier: Scores twice in shootout win

Gauthier scored two goals on nine shots and added two hits in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Flames.

Gauthier got a lucky bounce on his first goal, but his second was a power-play snipe midway through the third period to force overtime. The 22-year-old winger continues to impress with both shot volume and efficiency. He's scored eight times on 46 shots over his last 11 games, adding four assists in that span. For the season, he has 28 goals, 52 points (13 on the power play), 222 shots on net, 48 hits and a plus-3 rating through 58 outings.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Gets shootout win over Flames

Dostal stopped 32 of 34 shots in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Flames.

Dostal picked up his fifth straight win and his 11th victory in 12 outings. This was a confident performance against a weaker opponent after Dostal had been torched for nine goals on 60 shots over his first two games coming out of the Olympic break. The 25-year-old netminder improved to 24-13-2 with a 2.97 GAA and an .896 save percentage through 41 appearances. The 24 wins are a career high for him, surpassing his total of 23 in 54 outings during 2024-25. The Ducks have a back-to-back up next, hosting the Avalanche on Tuesday and the Islanders on Wednesday. Look for Dostal and Ville Husso to split those games.

  • Aaron Ekblad D | FLA

Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Two helpers in Sunday's loss

Ekblad notched two assists and two hits in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Islanders.

Ekblad snapped an eight-game point drought with this effort, his first multi-point outing since Jan. 10 versus the Senators. He had a hand in Sam Bennett's power-play goal in the first period and Sam Reinhart's tally in the third. Ekblad is up to 23 points, 79 shots on net, 75 hits, 90 blocked shots, 49 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 58 appearances this season while seeing steady top-four minutes.

  • Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Distributes trio of helpers

Tkachuk logged three assists and three shots on goal in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Islanders.

One of Tkachuk's helpers came on the power play. He factored on the Panthers' last three goals of this back-and-forth contest. The star winger is up to 13 points (five goals, eight assists), including eight on the power play, while adding 40 shots on net, 14 hits, 21 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 13 appearances this season.

  • Panthers' Sandis Vilmanis: Puts away goal in loss

Vilmanis scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Islanders.

Vilmanis snapped a four-game slump with the tally. The 22-year-old is getting by with limited ice time in a fourth-line role, so he shouldn't be expected to generate a lot of offense. He has three goals, two assists, 13 shots on net, 32 hits and a plus-1 rating over 17 outings this season.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Tallies in Sunday's loss

Reinhart scored a goal on four shots in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Islanders.

Reinhart had gone six games without a goal, collecting four assists in that span. The 30-year-old's tally tied the game at 4-4 with 1:58 left in the third period, but Anders Lee answered it with 32 seconds left in the frame. Reinhart is now at 28 goals, 57 points, 156 shots on net, 58 hits, 39 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating over 60 appearances. He should continue to hover near a point-per-game pace, and he has the talent and the usage to jump over that threshold if he finishes the year strong.
