  • Devils' Dennis Cholowski: Loaned to AHL affiliate

Cholowski was assigned to AHL Utica on Tuesday.

Cholowski has one assist, 15 shots on goal, 15 blocked shots and three hits in 15 NHL appearances this season. He also has three helpers in nine AHL outings during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Won't play Wednesday

Hanifin will not be in the lineup against the Kings on Wednesday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Hanifin was placed on the non-roster list while making his way back from the Winter Olympics. The blueliner is currently mired in a 28-game goal drought in addition to an eight-game pointless streak in the lead-up to the break. With the defenseman unavailable, the Knights recalled Dylan Coghlan from the minors.

  • Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Set to play Thursday

Marchenko (lower body) will play against Boston on Thursday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

Before the NHL's pause for the 2026 Winter Olympics, Marchenko missed two games due to illness. He also sat out the team's first two practices because of a lower-body issue. However, he has been a regular on the top line during the Blue Jackets' recent sessions. Marchenko has registered 19 goals, 46 points, 152 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and 40 hits across 50 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Artemi Panarin: Set for Kings' debut

Panarin (not injury related) was working on a line with Alex Laferriere and Adrian Kempe ahead of Wednesday's clash with Vegas, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

In addition to his top-six role, Panarin figures to link up with the No. 1 power-play as he makes his team debut versus the Golden Knights. In 52 games with the Rangers this year, the veteran winger notched 19 goals and 38 helpers, including 17 power-play points. Unless Panarin goes on a tear, he could miss the 35-goal mark for the first time since 2022-23.

  • Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Sent back to minors

Dries was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday.

Dries will link back up with the Griffins just a day after being recalled by the Red Wings on an emergency basis. He has been juggled back and forth between the NHL and AHL over the last week to help Detroit fill the void in practices during the Olympic break. Dries hasn't made an appearance in the NHL since the 2022-23 season, when he was with the Canucks.

  • Dominik Shine RW | DET

Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Reassigned to AHL

Shine was returned to AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday.

Shine participated in Monday's practice with Detroit after being summoned from the minors on an emergency basis. He has 21 goals and 36 points in 37 AHL appearances this campaign.

  • Kings' Erik Portillo: Promoted from minors

Portillo was called up from AHL Ontario on Tuesday.

Portillo's elevation to the NHL roster is a good indication that Darcy Kuemper won't be back from Milan in time to face the Golden Knights on Wednesday, which means Anton Forsberg could get the starting nod at home. With the Kings heading into a back-to-back, it's certainly possible that Portillo gets into one of the two games, though Kuemper will likely be available in time to face Edmonton on Thursday.

  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

    Jets' Neal Pionk: Deemed week-to-week

Pionk (undisclosed) is week-to-week, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports Tuesday.

Pionk appeared to be on track to return to the lineup from a lower-body injury against Vancouver on Wednesday. However, he will miss additional action after suffering a new injury. Pionk hasn't played since Jan. 13 against the Islanders and remains on injured reserve. He has two goals, eight points, 76 shots on net, 64 blocked shots and 84 hits across 40 appearances this season.

  • Jets' Nino Niederreiter: Classified as week-to-week

Head coach Scott Arniel relayed Tuesday that Niederreiter (undisclosed) is week-to-week, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Clinton noted that Niederreiter skated Tuesday to see how he felt, but it didn't go as well as he had anticipated. Niederreiter seemingly sustained the injury while representing Switzerland at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Tanner Pearson will likely draw back into the lineup Wednesday in Vancouver due to Niederreiter's absence.

  • Golden Knights' Brayden McNabb: Removed from IR

McNabb (upper body) was activated off injured reserve Tuesday, per SinBin.vegas.

Following a 19-game stint on the shelf, McNabb is set to return to the lineup Wednesday in Los Angeles. The left-shot blueliner hasn't played since Dec. 31, so he could be eased back into action in his return. McNabb has logged three points, 63 hits, 98 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 38 appearances this season.
