Peyton Krebs C | BUF
Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Eight points in last seven games
Krebs had a goal and two assists in Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers. He also had seven hits.
Krebs' overall production (seven goals, 18 assists; 55 games) this season hasn't stood out, but he's recently picked up the pace with eight points (three goals, five assists), seven shots, 14 PIM, 16 hits and a plus-6 rating in his last seven outings. Krebs is on the Sabres' third line, so that lowers his fantasy ceiling.

Zach Benson LW | BUF
Sabres' Zach Benson: Unable to finish game in Florida
Benson is being evaluated for an upper-body injury after leaving Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers in the third period, per Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News.
According to Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic, Benson crashed into the end boards following a breakaway attempt and was favoring his left shoulder as he left the ice. Head coach Lindy Ruff said the team will see where Benson is at Tuesday ahead of the second half of Buffalo's back-to-back in Tampa Bay. The left-shot winger scored his seventh goal of the season and went plus-1 in 14:10 of ice time in Monday's victory.

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Wins 11th game in last 12 starts
Lyon made 38 saves in a 5-3 win over Florida on Monday.
It his 11th win in his past 12 starts. Lyon continues to explore uncharted territory this season. The 33-year-old netminder has never achieved the kind of success he has seen this year. Lyon is 14-7-3 with a dazzling 2.66 GAA, .914 save percentage and two shutouts in 24 starts (26 appearances). Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) hit the IR on Monday, and the extent of his injury is unknown. UPL is supposed to pull on a Finnish jersey at the Olympics, but that remains to be seen; so does his recovery arc. Lyon King's success will keep him in the blue paint a lot post-Olympics anyway -- the Sabres will play whomever will take them to the Stanley Cup promised land.

Sam Bennett C | FLA
Panthers' Sam Bennett: Won't return Monday
Bennett exited Monday's game against the Sabres early with an upper-body injury and will not return.
After skating just over five minutes in the first period, Bennett was ultimately ruled out before the start of the third period. The injury comes at a rough time for the 29-year-old center, who was in the midst of an 11-point, 12-game stretch and was a top candidate to potentially replace Anthony Cirelli (undisclosed) on Team Canada, if Cirelli's injury is serious enough to keep him out through the Olympic break. Regardless, Bennett will have two chances to return to Florida's lineup before the Olympic break, with the first being Wednesday versus the Bruins. The veteran center can be considered day-to-day until the team provides further information.

Daemon Hunt D | MIN
Wild's Daemon Hunt: Takes shot up high Monday
Hunt (upper body) will not finish Monday's game versus the Canadiens, according to Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News.
Per Loucks, Ivan Demidov took a shot that ramped up Hunt's stick and hit the defenseman in the neck. The 23-year-old Hunt immediately went to the locker room and did not return. If he's unable to suit up in the Wild's final game before the Olympic break, which is Wednesday in Nashville, David Jiricek will draw back into the lineup.

Alexander Kerfoot C | UTA
Mammoth's Alex Kerfoot: Taking steps towards return
Kerfoot (upper body) skated in a non-contact jersey during Monday's practice, per Cole Bagley of KSL Sports.
Kerfoot was seen participating in drills and even joined the team's defensemen during line skates. The 31-year-old forward has been out of Utah's lineup since he exited the team's Jan. 9 contest with an upper-body injury. His inclusion in the majority of Monday's morning skate is a sign that he is progressing towards a return, but no official timeline has been established by head coach Andre Tourigny. When Kerfoot is available, he'll likely return to being a rotational forward in Utah's bottom six.

Marcus Foligno LW | MIN
Wild's Marcus Foligno: Under the weather
Foligno will not play in Monday's home matchup against Montreal due to an illness.
The Wild have a bug going around their room, with Foligno the latest player to be under the weather. Nico Sturm has moved past his illness and is available Monday, while Tyler Pitlick, who was expected to be a healthy scratch, will remain in the lineup due to Foligno's absence. Minnesota has one more game remaining -- Wednesday in Nashville -- before the Olympic break.

Sam Colangelo RW | ANA
Ducks' Sam Colangelo: Sent back to minors
Colangelo was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Monday.
After appearing in two of nine games for the Ducks since his call-up Jan. 16, Colangelo will return to San Diego for his third stint with the AHL club this season. Across 23 games with the Gulls this season, he has seven goals and 16 points. Before his call-up to the NHL, the 24-year-old winger had a 10-point, nine-game streak built up, which he'll look to continue following his return. While he has produced just one goal across nine games in the NHL so far this season, Colangelo could be recalled if Anaheim runs into injury troubles down the stretch of the campaign.

Logan Cooley C | UTA
Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Making progress in recovery
Cooley (lower body) skated in a non-contact jersey during Monday's practice, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.
Bagley noted that Monday marked the first time Cooley has participated in any drills at practice. Regarding Cooley's recovery, head coach Andre Tourigny said, "He's not there yet. He needs a little bit more time to heal and to get stronger but we're happy with the progression." The 21-year-old Cooley remains on injured reserve and likely won't be back in the lineup until after the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Thomas Chabot D | OTT
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Available in Pittsburgh
Chabot (undisclosed) will suit up for Monday's game in Pittsburgh.
Chabot departed Saturday's game versus the Devils for precautionary reasons and was deemed a game-time call earlier Monday, but he'll avoid missing the first half of Ottawa's back-to-back set. The left-shot blueliner is set to skate on the No. 2 pairing next to Nick Jensen on Monday.
