  • Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Picks up helper

Kapanen notched an assist, four shots on goal, three hits and three blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.

Kapanen previously missed three games due to an undisclosed injury earlier in the month, and this was his second contest back in the lineup. The 29-year-old winger has seen limited action due to injuries this season, but he's earned 10 points, 30 shots, 32 hits and a plus-6 rating over 16 appearances. Kapanen is worth considering in fantasy as long as he maintains a top-six role.

  • Canadiens' Juraj Slafkovsky: Ties career goal mark

Slafkovsky had a goal and an assist in a 7-3 win over the Avalanche on Thursday.

The goal was Slafkovsky's 20th this season. That ties his career mark, which he set in 2023-24. The growth in his game has been steady -- those 20 goals have come in 54 games, as opposed to the 82 it took him to set his mark. Slafkovsky has 20 goals, 23 assists, 81 hits and 107 shots in 54 games. That's a pace that would see him set a new career mark, but his hits are way down from last season's 194 (79 games).

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Nets game-winner in overtime

Hyman scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.

Hyman tallied 1:06 into the extra session. This was his third straight game with a goal, and he earned his second game-winner of the campaign. The 33-year-old winger is up to 22 goals, 14 assists, 114 shots on net, 34 hits and a plus-13 rating through 36 appearances this season. Hyman continues to thrive on the top line and should have no trouble passing the 44-point effort he put up in 73 outings during the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: One of each in comeback win

McDavid scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.

McDavid logged his third straight multi-point effort. He got the Oilers within a goal at 16:55 of the third period and then set up Zach Hyman for the game-winning tally in overtime. McDavid is up to 24 points over 14 outings in January, and he has a total of 34 goals, 60 assists, 205 shots, 23 hits and a plus-15 rating through 55 appearances this season.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Racks up three points Thursday

Bouchard scored a goal on five shots, added two assists, logged two PIM, doled out two hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.

Bouchard has four goals and seven assists during his four-game point streak. The 26-year-old defenseman played a key role in the Oilers' comeback Thursday, tying the contest with 59 seconds left in regulation. Bouchard is up to 15 goals, 44 assists, 148 shots on net, 75 blocked shots, 22 PIM, 22 hits and a plus-13 rating over 55 outings. He's on pace to top the 80-point mark for the second time in his career.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Fuels comeback with three points

Draisaitl scored a goal on two shots, added two assists, went plus-3 and logged three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.

Draisaitl got the Oilers on the board at 1:34 of the third period and also set up Connor McDavid and Evan Bouchard for goals later in the frame to erase a 3-0 deficit. With 10 points over his last three outings, Draisaitl is absolutely dominating in a top-six role. He's up to a total of 26 goals, 51 assists, 147 shots on net and a plus-14 rating through 52 appearances this season.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Overcomes early struggles

Ingram stopped 17 of 20 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.

Ingram gave up all three goals within the first 11:40 of the game. The Oilers pulled off a rally to tie the contest in the third period, and Zach Hyman completed the comeback at 1:06 of overtime. This was a second shaky start in a row for Ingram, who has given up six goals on his last 32 shots faced. He's up to 6-3-1 with a 2.46 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 11 appearances. Tristan Jarry is likely to get the nod Saturday versus the Wild, as Ingram has mostly alternated starts with Jarry for much of January.

  • Kirby Dach C | MON

Canadiens' Kirby Dach: Rare two-point effort

Dach had a goal and an assist in a 7-3 win against the Avalanche on Thursday.

The points were Dach's first since his return from injury Jan. 20, and his first since Nov. 8, 2025 (eight games). He has never lived up to his promise as the third overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He's also never been healthy -- Dach has never played more than 70 games a season, and that was 2021-22. There's promise, but there are a lot of headaches, too.

  • Nick Suzuki C | MON

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Top-10 NHL scorer

Suzuki had two goals and an assist in a 7-3 victory over Colorado on Thursday.

One goal came on the power play; the other was scored while shorthanded. Suzuki got back on the scoresheet after being held pointless Tuesday against Vegas. He has 18 goals, 44 assists and 116 shots in 54 games this season, and he's now in a three-way tie with Martin Necas and Jason Robertson for 10th in NHL scoring. Suzuki is on pace to best his career mark in points, which he set last year (30 goals, 59 assists).

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Back in loss category

Hellebuyck made 33 saves Thursday in a 4-1 loss to the Lightning.

Hellebuyck snapped a four-game winless streak in his last outing, and Thursday was a tough slog -- the Bolts are among the NHL's best teams, and the Jets are one of the worst. Last season, Hellebuyck was the Vezina Trophy winner as the NHL's best goalie. This season, he's 4-9-6 in his last 19 starts and 13-15-6 with a 2.71 GAA and .902 save percentage in 34 starts. Hellebuyck's ratios are above league average this season, which is a testament to his individual skill, but he's pushing a jet that's out of fuel this season.
