The Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves should be buyers this month, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.
- Olney compares this season's Pirates with the 2008 Brewers, who acquired CC Sabathia at the trade deadline. Olney mentions Shane Victorino as a good target for the Pirates. He also thinks the Pirates should make a play for Zack Greinke or Cole Hamels.
- With Josh Hamilton set to be a free agent at the end of the year, the Rangers should also consider going after Greinke or Hamels. Olney notes the Rangers could part with third baseman Mike Olt, since Adrian Beltre still has a few years left on his contract.
- The Braves could also go all in. Chipper Jones will retire at the end of the season, and Michael Bourn is likely to leave in free agency. Olney said Randall Delgado could make sense in a deal for Greinke.
