The Yankees assigned Jennings to short-season Staten Island, but he'll presumably make a handful of appearances in the lower levels of the minors before moving up to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 32-year-old lefty previously made eight appearances at the big-league level with the Nationals this season, giving up seven runs over 4.2 innings before being designated for assignment in May.

The 31-year-old is likely to serve as a left-handed specialist as he allowed a .320/.399/.528 slash line to right-handed hitters in 2018, though his career splits aren't quite so extreme.
Jennings will not be tendered a contract for the 2019 season from Milwaukee, Robert Murray of The Athletic reports.
The Brewers have decided to move on from Jennings after just one season, during which he recorded a 3.22 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with a 6.3 K/9 across 72 appearances. The left-hander was somewhat of a forgotten man in the team's bullpen, as manager Craig Counsell only utilized him for a total of 17 innings after the All-Star break due to the success of his other relievers. Jennings will likely be able to find a new home and serve as a quality option against left-handed hitting in 2019.
