Phillies' Cam Bedrosian: Sent to minor-league camp
Bedrosian was reassigned to minor-league camp Thursday.
Bedrosian joined the Phillies on a minor-league deal in December, but he won't make the roster to begin the season. Though he struggled to a 7.20 ERA across five innings this spring, he also managed six strikeouts as opposed to two walks in that span. Bedrosian is still likely to contribute at the major-league level at some point this season in low-leverage role.

Phillies' Cam Bedrosian: Back with Phillies on minors deal
Bedrosian signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies on Tuesday which includes an invitation to spring training.
Bedrosian struggled to a 5.04 ERA in 25 innings with the Reds, Athletics and Phillies last season. His 4.35 ERA in 10.1 innings with the Phillies in September came with an 8:7 K:BB. He's still just 30 years old and owns a respectable 3.81 ERA across eight major-league seasons, however, so it's certainly possible he rebounds as a capable middle reliever next season.

Phillies' Cam Bedrosian: Opening bullpen game
Bedrosian will be the first pitcher on the mound for what's expected to be a bullpen game Thursday against the Cubs, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Bedrosian has allowed two runs on three hits in 5.1 innings since joining the Phillies at the start of September. He has a bit of experience in the opener role, filling it seven times for the Angels back in 2019. He averaged just one inning per "start" that season and has averaged the same number over his 20 relief appearances this year, so don't expect him to last much longer than that this time around.

Phillies' Cam Bedrosian: Contract selected by Philly
Bedrosian had his contract selected by the Phillies on Wednesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Bedrosian inked a minor-league deal with the Phillies in early July, and he'll join the big-league club with rosters expanding Wednesday. The right-hander has a 5.52 ERA, 1.98 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB across 14.2 innings between the Reds and A's this season, though he pitched well at Triple-A for the Phillies with a 2.25 ERA in 16 outings.

Phillies' Cam Bedrosian: Signs minor-league contract
Bedrosian signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies on Wednesday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Bedrosian recently elected free agency after he was designated for assignment by the Athletics at the end of June, and he's been assigned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after signing a minor-league deal with Philadelphia. The right-hander has made 15 relief appearances with the Reds and Athletics this year, and he's posted a 5.52 ERA and 1.98 WHIP in 14.2 innings. He could be an option to join the Phillies' bullpen at some point.

Cam Bedrosian: Opts for free agency
Bedrosian has chosen to become a free agent, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The righty, designated for assignment Tuesday by Oakland, will not join Triple-A Las Vegas. After beginning his Athletics career with seven consecutive scoreless appearances, Bedrosian yielded a solo homer in each of his last two outings. His 5.52 ERA is largely attributable to early-season struggles with the Reds, so the recent success could certainly be appealing to a team with an underperforming bullpen. Many such clubs exist at this point, so Bedrosian may find himself on an MLB roster again in the near future.

Athletics' Cam Bedrosian: Designated for assignment
Bedrosian was designated for assignment by the Athletics on Tuesday.
Bedrosian signed a minor-league deal with the A's in late April and was later called up May 21. His DFA comes as a bit of a surprise given that he allowed just two earned runs across nine innings with the Athletics, but J.B. Wendelken's (oblique) activation from the injured list ultimately leaves Bedrosian as the odd man out of the Oakland bullpen. Bedrosian should have a strong chance of attracting interest from clubs searching for bullpen help on the waiver wire.

Athletics' Cam Bedrosian: Still scoreless with Athletics
Bedrosian, who allowed two hits and no walks over a scoreless ninth inning in a loss to the Royals on Thursday, has yet to be scored upon in the 5.1 innings covering his four appearances with the Athletics.
Bedrosian put on another impressive display Thursday, firing eight of his nine pitches for strikes during his one frame. The 29-year-old has already coaxed his ERA down from 11.12 to 5.73 during his time in Oakland and appears to be making a solid case for higher-leverage assignments with his body of work thus far.

Athletics' Cam Bedrosian: Impressive in team debut
Bedrosian fired two scoreless innings in a loss to the Mariners on Monday, allowing a walk and recording a strikeout.
Bedrosian was highly impressive over his 29-pitch outing, which marked his first appearance for the Athletics after having his contract selected from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday. The right-hander was in need for a fresh start after an utterly forgettable stint with the Reds to open the campaign, and perhaps Monday's outing will be a springboard to success as a middle-relief option.

Athletics' Cam Bedrosian: Contract selected by A's
Bedrosian's contract was selected from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
The veteran reliever logged an 11.12 ERA earlier this season in 5.2 innings with Cincinnati and did not allow a run while striking out five in five innings at Las Vegas. He will presumably operate in a low-leverage role.

Athletics' Cam Bedrosian: Heads to Oakland
Bedrosian signed a minor-league deal with the Athletics on Friday, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.
Bedrosian opened the season with the Reds but gave up seven earned runs and walked six batters in 5.2 innings before being designated for assignment in mid-April and electing free agency. He's not on the Athletics' 40-man roster for now, but it's certainly possible he could fill an important role at some point this season, as he recorded a 3.41 ERA from 2018 to 2020.

Cam Bedrosian: Elects free agency
Bedrosian elected free agency Wednesday.
Bedrosian was outrighted to the Reds' alternate training site Monday, but he'll now seek out other opportunities rather than reporting to the alternate camp. The right-hander posted an 11.12 ERA and 2.82 WHIP in 5.2 innings across six relief appearances to begin the season.

Reds' Cam Bedrosian: Outrighted to alternate camp
Bedrosian has cleared waivers and was outrighted to the Reds' alternate training site Monday.
Bedrosian was cast off the Reds' 40-man roster Saturday, and he'll remain in the organization after he went unclaimed on waivers. The right-hander made six appearances to begin the year and posted an 11.12 ERA and 2.82 WHIP in 5.2 innings during that time.

Reds' Cam Bedrosian: Designated for assignment
Bedrosian was designated for assignment by the Reds on Saturday.
Bedrosian earned an Opening Day roster spot, but it's no surprise he's already lost it given his performances thus far. He allowed runs in four of his six appearances, struggling to an 11.12 ERA, 2.82 WHIP and 7:6 K:BB in 5.2 innings of work. The move clears a spot for the Reds to activate Sonny Gray (back) from the injured list.

Reds' Cam Bedrosian: Struggles Friday
Bedrosian gave up three runs on three hits Friday night against the Diamondbacks while recording only two outs.
Bedrosian's appearance changed the tenor of Friday's game. The Reds were cruising, ahead 5-0, before Bedrosian allowed the three runs in the seventh. He can be excused for being a little rusty, having not pitched for six days prior to this outing.

Reds' Cam Bedrosian: Added to 40-man, active roster
The Reds selected Bedrosian's contract Monday.
The transaction clears the way for Bedrosian to join the Reds' Opening Day bullpen after he was able to impress while attending spring camp as a non-roster invitee. Over 8.2 innings, Bedrosian was charged with four earned runs, but he held opponents to a .103 average while generating 16 strikeouts. He could factor into the setup mix in front of the Reds' top closing candidates, Amir Garrett and Lucas Sims.

Reds' Cam Bedrosian: Getting strikeouts so far
Bedrosian had three strikeouts and a walk in a scoreless inning Monday against the Rockies, building on his debut last week in which he struck out the side. His fastball sat at 90-91 mph, touching 92 mph, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Bedrosian actually threw a little harder last season, averaging 92.3 mph for the Angels, but he struggled to convert that into strikeouts -- just 11 in 14.2 innings. It was a bit of a surprise that the Angels let him walk and the Reds were able to sign him to a minor-league deal. So far, he's done well to make the case that he belongs on the team.

Reds' Cam Bedrosian: Signs with Cincinnati
Bedrosian joined the Reds as a non-roster invitee Tuesday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
It's something of a surprise to see Bedrosian stuck with a minor-league deal, as he owns a career 3.70 ERA in seven big-league seasons and posted a 2.45 ERA in 14.2 innings last season. He benefited from a .244 BABIP, however, and his unimpressive 11:6 K:BB may have scared teams off. If he impresses in camp, he'll have a good chance to win a bullpen role and could even have an outside chance to pitch in a high-leverage role for a Reds team that traded away closer Raisel Iglesias in December.

Cam Bedrosian: Elects free agency
Bedrosian has cleared waivers and been released by the Angels after refusing an outright assignment to the minors.
The right-hander missed nearly all of August but posted a 2.45 ERA over 14.1 innings this season. Bedrosian has been a staple in the Angels' bullpen with a 3.20 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 234 games over the past five seasons, so he figures to garner some interest in the open market as a solid reliever.
