Austin Dean: Re-ups with KBO club
The LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization re-signed Dean to a one-year, $1.7 million contract Wednesday, Jee-ho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports.
Dean slashed .319/.384/.573 with 32 home runs and a franchise-record 132 RBI for the Twins in 2024. This will be his third straight year in the KBO after spending parts of five seasons in the majors.

Austin Dean: Re-signs with KBO team
Dean re-signed Friday with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports.
The new deal is worth $1.1 million in guaranteed money and there is another $200,000 available in performance-based bonuses. Dean, 30, excelled in his first taste of KBO action this past year, slashing .314/.376/.517 with 23 home runs and 95 RBI across 139 games. He had a .228/.286/.390 slash line over parts of five MLB seasons between 2018-22.

Austin Dean: Signs with Korean team

Dean (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment at Low-A Palm Beach on Tuesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Dean has resided on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Memphis since mid-May with a fractured wrist, but the outfielder reported to the Cardinals' spring facility in Florida just under two weeks ago to resume baseball activities. Now that he's had some time to ramp back up, Dean will presumably play in a few games with Palm Beach before reporting back to Memphis.

Dean, who has been sidelined at Triple-A Memphis since mid-May with a broken hamate bone in his wrist, has resumed baseball activities at the Cardinals' spring-training site in Florida, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Following an early season demotion from St. Louis, Dean appeared in seven games for Memphis and hit .192 with a home run before being shut down with the injury. The 27-year-old outfielder should make it from Memphis' 7-day injured list before the end of the season, but he may not have enough time to make a case for a late-season call-up to St. Louis.
