Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Getting breather Saturday
Yastrzemski is not starting Saturday versus the Mets.
Yastrzemski frequently hits the bench against left-handed starters, and that's the case again Saturday with southpaw Sean Manaea on the mound for the Mets. Mauricio Dubon is handling left field in Yastrzemski's stead.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Sitting against southpaw
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Though he'll hit the bench while southpaw Robbie Ray takes the hill for the Giants, Yastrzemski still appears to have a hold on a strong-side platoon role in the corner outfield. Yastrzemski has been seeing most of his starts in right field of late but should slide over to left field on a more regular basis once Ronald Acuna (hamstring) eventually returns from the injured list.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Sitting Saturday
Yastrzemski isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers.
Yastrzemski was initially set to start in right field and bat eighth Saturday, but he appears to have been a healthy scratch to allow Michael Harris (back) to join the lineup as Atlanta's center fielder with Mauricio Dubon and Eli White patrolling the corners.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Swats fourth homer
Yastrzemski went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Brewers.
The veteran outfielder took Abner Uribe deep in the seventh inning, providing Atlanta with a needed insurance run in an eventual 3-2 victory. The long ball was Yastrzemski's first since May 21, snapping a 20-game drought, and just his fourth of the season. While working primarily in a strong-side platoon role, he's managed just a .230/.318/.353 slash line over 211 plate appearances with 19 RBI and 27 runs on the year.

Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
The left-handed hitter started the first two games of the series and went 3-for-6 with a double, two walks, two RBI and a run, but he'll hit the bench Sunday against lefty Nick Lodolo. Mauricio Dubon will spell Yastrzemski in left field and bat fifth.

Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Yastrzemski will head to the bench for the second time in the series, with the left-handed batter taking a seat while southpaw Foster Griffin starts for the Nationals. Atlanta will go with Mauricio Dubon in left field as Yastrzemski's replacement.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Swats third homer
Yastrzenski went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Thursday's win over the Marlins.
The veteran outfielder took Sandy Alcantara deep in the second inning for a solo shot. Yastrzemski didn't hit his first homer of the season until May 12, but he's now left the yard three times in his last nine games, batting .409 (9-for-22) over that stretch with three doubles, seven runs and eight RBI. He remains a consistent presence in the lineup against right-handed pitching, but which outfield corner he occupies in the short term could depend on whether Ronald Acuna (thumb) needs to miss additional time after exiting Thursday's game early.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Exiting lineup versus lefty
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Ronald Acuna (hamstring) landed on the injured list Sunday, but his absence may not change Yastrzemski's role as a strong-side platoon option. Yastrzemski will be on the bench for the fourth time in the last five games Sunday, with Atlanta facing lefty starters in each of those contests.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Heading to bench Wednesday
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.
After taking a seat against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola on Sunday, the left-handed-hitting Yastrzemski will check out of the lineup against a lefty (Tarik Skubal) on Wednesday. Eli White will draw the start in left field in his stead, but Yastrzemski still projects to see the bulk of the playing time at the position.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: On bench Sunday
Yastrzemski is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
The veteran outfielder will typically sit versus left-handed starting pitchers, but his absence Sunday is his first of the year against a righty (Aaron Nola). Yastrzemski has yet to get on track at the plate this season with a .188/.266/.247 slash line in 94 plate appearances, and his 26.6 percent strikeout rate would be the worst of his eight-year MLB career.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Struggles continue Sunday
Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and three strikeouts in Sunday's win over the Guardians.
Six different Atlanta players recorded multiple hits in a 13-1 rout, but Yastrzemski instead led the team in a less helpful category, accounting for three of the five strikeouts by Cleveland pitchers on the night. The veteran slugger is still looking for his first homer of 2026, slashing .180/.293/.260 through 15 games with what would be a career-worst 27.6 percent strikeout rate, but for now his spot as the strong side of a platoon in left field doesn't appear to be in jeopardy.

Yastrzemski is absent from the lineup for Friday's opener against the Royals.
The left-handed-hitting Yastrzemski could start against some left-handed hurlers, but he'll begin his Atlanta tenure on the bench as the Royals send ace southpaw Cole Ragans to the hill. Eli White will grab the start in left field and bat sixth.
