The Twins activated Margot (adductor) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Margot spent the minimum 10 days on the shelf while recovering from a mild right adductor strain. He did not play any rehab games, evidently showing enough in workouts to convince the Twins he was ready to rejoin the active roster. Margot is likely to fill a short-side platoon role in the outfield now that he's healthy again.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Has mild adductor strain
Rotowire
Margot was diagnosed with a mild right adductor strain Monday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
The diagnosis is probably a best-case scenario, but a timetable for Margot's return won't be available at least until he's re-evaluated later this week after being shut down from the baseball activities for 5-to-7 days. Margot was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday and is eligible for activation Sept. 11.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Shelved with groin strain
Rotowire
The Twins placed Margot on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right groin strain.
Margot underwent an MRI after suffering the groin injury in Saturday's 15-0 loss to the Blue Jays, but since the results of those tests haven't been made public, an exact timeline for the outfielder's return isn't known. The 29-year-old has cobbled together a mediocre .250/.302/.350 slash line with four home runs and five steals over 306 plate appearances while mostly serving as a short-side platoon player this season, so his upcoming absence shouldn't have many ramifications in fantasy baseball.

Margot left Saturday's loss to Toronto in the fifth inning due to a sore right groin and will have an MRI on Sunday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Leading off regularly vs. lefties
Rotowire
Margot will start in left field and bat leadoff in Monday's game against Atlanta.
Margot has found a home atop the lineup when the Twins face left-handed pitchers like Atlanta's Max Fried, but the outfielder's playing time remains more sporadic against right-handers. The 29-year-old hasn't done much to make a case for earning more work versus righties; he's slashing .210/.262/.290 over 150 plate appearances against them thus far in 2024.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Returning to bench Wednesday
Rotowire
Margot is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Margot had been in the lineup for each of the last four games, but three of those starts came against left-handed pitchers. He still appears to be stuck in the weak side of a platoon in the outfield with either Trevor Larnach or Max Kepler, both of whom are left-handed hitters.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Three-hit day
Rotowire
Margot went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored Sunday against the Tigers.
Margot earned the starting nod for the second consecutive game and just the third time since the All-Star break, recording three hits for the third time this season. Margot has mostly found himself on the short side of a platoon recently but was inserted into the lineup to give Byron Buxton a breather. He took advantage with his first three-hit game in over a month and has now accumulated seven hits in his last 21 at-bats.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Sitting in second straight game
Rotowire
Margot is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Margot had picked up starts in four of the Twins' final five games before the All-Star break, but he finds himself on the bench for a second straight contest to begin the second half. Even with injuries beginning to pile up for the Twins with all of Carlos Correa (heel), Jose Miranda (back), Kyle Farmer (shoulder) and Royce Lewis (adductor) landing on the injured list within the past three weeks, Margot is still likely to see the majority of his playing time against left-handed pitching.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Excels out of leadoff spot
Rotowire
Margot went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and two additional runs in Saturday's 10-2 rout of the Athletics.
Margot played a key part in Minnesota's seven-run second inning by belting a three-run blast off Oakland starter JP Sears. He added two additional base knocks to finish with his second three-hit game of the season. Margot had been struggling coming into Saturday, going 2-for-20 with no extra-base hits or RBI over his previous seven games.

Twins' Manuel Margot: On base twice batting leadoff
Rotowire

After a slow start to the season (.468 OPS through May 17), Margot is finally showing some signs of progress at the plate. He's 8-for-23 from May 18 through Thursday with two walks. He could get more at-bats as a righty platoon bat in left field as a result.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Slow start to season continues
Rotowire
Margot started in center field and went 0-for-3 in Thursday's loss to the Yankees. He's hitting just .169 with a .460 OPS this season.
The Twins traded for Margot in the offseason thinking he'd be insurance in center field if Bryon Buxton was injured and could fill a right-handed platoon role. However, Margot has struggled to provide any offense and made just his second start this month in center field despite Buxton missing the last two weeks with a knee injury. Margot may continue to languish on the bench until he gets going at the plate.

Margot went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored in Monday's loss against the Dodgers.
Margot was a surprise leadoff hitter against a lefty starter after he hit ninth in his other start against a southpaw, but he began the game with a hit and later hit a home run. He may not play against tough righties Tyler Glasnow and Bobby Miller on Tuesday and Wednesday, but Margot could lead off again Thursday against lefty Tarik Skubal.

Twins' Manuel Margot: In lineup at designated hitter
Rotowire
Margot (hand) is will start at designated hitter and bat ninth in Thursday's season opener versus the Royals.
The Twins acquired Margot to play against left-handed pitching, so it's no surprise he's in the starting nine against southpaw Cole Ragans. It's more surprising that Margot is serving as a DH and not playing the outfield, but that may just be a matter of caution after he exited Tuesday's exhibition game after being hit on the hand by a pitch.

Twins' Manuel Margot: Traded to Minnesota
Rotowire
The Twins acquired Margot, infielder Rayne Doncon and cash from the Dodgers on Monday in exchange for Noah Miller, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
It's the second time Margot has been traded this winter, as he went from the Rays to the Dodgers in December as part of the Tyler Glasnow deal. The 29-year-old Margot offers protection in center field for Byron Buxton and should draw a decent number of starts especially against left-handed pitching.

Dodgers' Manuel Margot: Joins Dodgers
Rotowire
Margot was traded from the Rays to the Dodgers along with Tyler Glasnow in exchange for Ryan Pepiot and Jonny DeLuca on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Margot has settled into being a slightly below league-average hitter, though he more than makes up for that with his defense. That will likely be enough for him to remain a regular in the Dodgers' outfield, though he'll likely split time in a corner spot with the likes of Chris Taylor and Jason Heyward. Margot is under contract for 2024 with a mutual option in 2025.

Rays' Manuel Margot: Fours hits Tuesday
Rotowire
Margot went 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's victory over Boston.
After a relatively quiet season, Margot's been hot down the stretch, going 11-for-22 (.500) with just two strikeouts in his last six games. Still, the 28-year-old outfielder hasn't offered much in the way of fantasy production -- his last homer came June 15 while he's stolen only a pair of bases in that 40-game span. Overall, Margot's slashing .264/.310/.369 with three homers, nine steals, 38 runs scored and 36 RBI across 319 plate appearances this season. He should continue to see regular playing time in the Rays' outfield to close out the year, with Randy Arozarena (quadriceps) day-to-day and both Luke Raley (neck) and Jose Siri (hand) on the IL.
