Charged with protecting a two-run lead, Tarpley faced the final batter in the sixth inning and closed out the seventh to help the Marlins complete a doubleheader sweep. Closer Brandon Kintzler earned the save in the matinee and was presumably unavailable for Game 2, providing Tarpley with the chance to record his third career save.
