  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Dispatched to minors

The Phillies reassigned Bellatti to minor-league camp Sunday. After being outrighted off the 40-man roster in February, Bellatti attended spring training as a non-roster invitee but wasn't able to secure a spot in the Phillies' Opening Day bullpen. He made 27 appearances at the big-league level for Philadelphia in 2023, logging a 5.11 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 24.2 frames.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Sent to Triple-A

Bellati cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday. The right-hander was designated for assignment by Philadelphia last week but will remain in the organization after he passed through waivers unclaimed. Bellati will still join the Phillies for big-league camp after he posted a 5.11 ERA over 24.2 innings last year.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: DFA'd by Philly

Bellati was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Tuesday. Bellati made 27 appearances for the Phillies last season and was unimpressive with a 5.11 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 25:12 K:BB over 24.2 innings. The right-hander has no remaining minor-league options, so Philadelphia opted to removed him from the 40-man roster to clear space for trade-acquisition Michael Rucker.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Swapped out for fresh arm

The Phillies optioned Bellatti to Triple-A Lehigh Valley following their 10-8 extra-inning loss to Atlanta in the first game of Monday's doubleheader, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Ahead of the second game of the twin bill, the Phillies will bring aboard Yunior Marte from Triple-A to replace Bellatti in the bullpen. Bellatti tossed 1.2 innings and 21 pitches in relief of starter Taijuan Walker in Game 1, giving up two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Sent back to Triple-A

Philadelphia optioned Bellatti to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday. Bellatti allowed one run in 3.1 innings (four appearances) during his latest stay in the Phillies' bullpen, but the team needed to make room for the return of Seranthony Dominguez, who is back from a five-week absence to heal a left oblique strain.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Moves up from Triple-A

The Phillies recalled Bellatti from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday. He'll be joining the Philadelphia bullpen as a replacement for southpaw Jose Alvarado (elbow), who was placed on the 15-day injured list. Bellatti has previously made 15 appearances with the big club this season, pitching to a 5.68 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 14:9 K:BB in 12.2 innings.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Optioned to Triple-A

The Phillies optioned Bellatti to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Dylan Covey, claimed off waivers from the Dodgers this weekend, will fill the vacant 26-man roster spot. Bellatti, 31, has struggled to a 5.68 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 14:9 K:BB in 12.2 innings of relief this season at the major-league level.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Cleared for rehab assignment

Bellatti (triceps) will begin a rehab assignment Friday with Low-A Clearwater. Bellatti got the go-ahead to return to live competition after completing a 25-pitch round of live batting practice earlier this week. Out since April 22 due to right triceps tendinitis, he should be an option again for the Phillies' bullpen by mid-May.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Lands on injured list

Bellatti was placed on the 15-day injured list with right triceps tendinitis Saturday. The move was made retroactive to Friday, so Bellatti will be eligible to return May 6, but it's unclear if he'll have a chance to make it back after a minimum-length stay. The righty gave up just two hits and zero runs in his first six appearances but allowed six runs on nine hits in his last four outings. It's possible those struggles were injury-related. Cristopher Sanchez (triceps) was activated off the injured list to take Bellati's place on the roster.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Picks up second save

Bellatti walked one batter and struck out two in a scoreless inning while earning a save over the Reds on Monday. Bellatti worked around a leadoff walk to finish the 4-1 win with little issue. It was his second save of the year and first since June 26. The 31-year-old lowered his ERA to 3.76 through 45 appearances. Bellatti is one of several Phillies that are expected to see some ninth-inning work while Seranthony Dominguez (triceps) is out.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: To serve as opener

Bellatti has been named the starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Bellatti has allowed just one run over his last eight appearances, fanning 12 and walking two over that stretch (7.2 innings). His longest outing of the season lasted 1.1 innings, so he'll be asked to give his club an inning or so before making way for the primary pitcher, who has yet to be determined.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Can't finish save chance

Bellatti picked up his third hold of the year in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Nationals, striking out two batters in two-thirds of an inning while allowing an unearned run on one hit. He entered the game in the top of the ninth inning in position to record his first career save, as the Phillies has already used Seranthony Dominguez and Brad Hand in the first game of the day. Bellatti sandwiched a Yadiel Hernandez single between a pair of strikeouts but was pulled for lefty Jose Alvarado with Juan Soto up and the game on the line. Hernandez would eventually come around to score on a Didi Gregorius error, denying Bellatti the save and leaving him with a hold.

  • Phillies' Andrew Bellatti: Joining Phillies camp

Bellatti joined the Phillies as a non-roster invitee Tuesday. Bellatti tossed 3.1 innings for the Marlins last season, giving up five earned runs. His numbers in 29.2 innings at the Triple-A level were far more encouraging, as he cruised to a 1.52 ERA while striking out 33.0 percent of opposing batters, but it's tough to get too excited about a 29-year-old dominating minor-league bats.

  • Marlins' Andrew Bellatti: Outrighted to Triple-A

Bellatti was outrighted to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports. Bellatti got his first taste of major-league action in 2021 and posted a 13.50 ERA and 2.40 WHIP in 3.1 innings across three relief appearances. However, he'll now lose his spot on the 40-man roster early in the offseason.

  • Marlins' Andrew Bellatti: Back in majors

Bellatti had his contract selected by the Marlins on Friday. Bellatti had a two-game stint in the majors in July before being designated for assignment, and he'll rejoin the Marlins for the final three games of the season. The right-hander dominated at Triple-A Jacksonville out of the bullpen with a 1.52 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 38:10 K:BB over 29.2 innings.

  • Marlins' Andrew Bellatti: Outrighted off 40-man roster

The Marlins outrighted Bellatti to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday. Miami exposed Bellatti to waivers after designating him for assignment over the weekend, and given his status as a 29-year-old journeyman reliever, he unsurprisingly went unclaimed by MLB's other 29 organizations. Bellatti will thus head back to Jacksonville after a brief cameo out of the Miami bullpen -- his first big-league action since 2015. He appeared in two games for the Marlins, giving up five earned runs on six hits and one walk over 2.1 innings.

Bellatti's contract was selected by Miami on Monday, and he allowed five runs on six hits and a walk while striking out two in 2.1 innings across two relief appearances. • Marlins' Andrew Bellatti: Contract selected by Marlins

Bellatti's contract was selected by the Marlins on Monday. The 29-year-old has 23.1 innings of big-league experience under his belt, all of which came back in 2015 for the Rays. He's thrown 10 innings for Triple-A Jacksonville this season, allowing three runs while striking out 12 batters. He'll likely serve in a low-leverage role during his time in the majors.
