Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Grabs 11th save
Scott earned the save Wednesday against the Twins, allowing one hit while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning of a 4-3 win.
Scott was called upon in the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead and worked around a leadoff single to notch his 11th save of the season. The left-hander has now converted a save in each of his last five appearances and has been nearly untouchable during that span, allowing just one hit while striking out eight batters without issuing a walk. Scott is carrying a 2.18 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 40:3 K:BB across 33 innings this season.

Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Grabs save No. 10
Scott recorded a save against the Twins on Monday with a scoreless inning of work.
Scott was summoned in the bottom of the ninth inning with Los Angeles clinging to a one-run lead. The lefty didn't record a strikeout for the first time over his past eight appearances, but he got the job done, retiring the side in order on just 11 pitches. Scott has picked up a save in each of his past four appearances and is 10-for-11 on save opportunities this season. Edwin Diaz (elbow) recently resumed throwing bullpen sessions and could return shortly after the All-Star break, but until then Scott is the Dodgers' clear-cut primary closer.

Scott struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Rays.
Scott retired the side on 11 pitches (nine strikes) to preserve the narrow lead. This was his third scoreless outing in a row, and he's earned a save in each of them, giving him nine saves in 10 chances this season. The trusty southpaw has added a 2.32 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 38:3 K:BB through 31 innings. He has pitched two days in a row, so Alex Vesia or Blake Treinen could be called upon for a save chance if one surfaces Wednesday.

Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Nails down save No. 8
Scott earned a save against the Rays on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.
Scott had just a one-run lead to work with when he entered in the ninth frame, but he didn't show any stress, retiring the Rays in order on 13 pitches. The southpaw is now 8-for-9 in save chances on the season after stepping in as closer for the injured Edwin Diaz (elbow) in late April. Scott blew 10 saves in 33 chances in his first regular season with the Dodgers last year, but he's been much better in 2026, as evidenced by his 2.40 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 36:3 K:BB through 30 innings spanning 32 outings.

Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Grabs four-out save
Scott struck out three over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Thursday's 8-6 win over the Pirates.
Scott was brought in to put out a fire in the eighth inning and did just that, and he stayed on for the ninth to lock down the save, his seventh of the season and first since June 2. It's been a bit of a bumpy stretch for him -- this was the first time he hadn't allowed a baserunner since May 29 versus the Phillies. He's given up five runs over his last 5.1 innings, though he hasn't walked a batter in that stretch. Scott is at a 2.48 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 35:3 K:BB through 29 innings. He's added five holds and continues to be the Dodgers' top option for high-leverage moments.

This was Scott's first outing since his blown save Saturday versus the Phillies. He bounced back well, though he needed 20 pitches (12 strikes) to get the job done. Scott (1-2) allowed three runs on three hits without recording a strikeout or a walk over one inning, taking the loss and a blown save Saturday versus the Phillies.
Scott allowed an RBI single to Bryce Harper and a two-run home run to Edmundo Sosa in the eighth inning, turning a 3-1 lead into a 4-3 deficit that the Dodgers couldn't bounce back from. This outing ended Scott's 12.1-inning scoreless streak, and it left him with his first blown save of the season. It's just the third time he's been scored upon over 26 appearances this year. The left-hander has a 2.19 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB with five saves and five holds over 24.2 innings this year. His usage is unlikely to be disrupted by one bad outing, though Scott may not pitch Sunday since he's been utilized for consecutive games. Alex Vesia is in the same boat, so a potential save chance Sunday could fall to Blake Treinen, who worked a perfect ninth inning in Saturday's contest for his first action since Monday.

Scott (1-1) earned the win over San Diego on Tuesday, walking one batter and striking out two over 1.1 scoreless and hitless innings.
Scott has been Los Angeles' primary closer since Edwin Diaz (elbow) landed on the injured list April 20, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts elected to call on Scott in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday. The lefty's entrance came at a critical moment, as the Padres had put runners on first and second with two outs in a 4-4 game. Scott got Ramon Laureano to fly out to end the threat and then worked around a two-out walk to retire the side in the eighth. He moved in line for the victory when Los Angeles plated a run in the top of the ninth, and Will Klein got the final three outs in the bottom of that inning for his first career save. Scott's usage Tuesday shouldn't be viewed as an indication that he's not the Dodgers' first choice as closer, though it does suggest that Roberts isn't against using him in earlier high-leverage spots if the situation calls for it.

Facing the bottom of the St. Louis lineup, Scott set down Jose Fermin, Nathan Church and Pedro Pages in order on 13 pitches. Scott is now 2-for-2 in save opportunities since Edwin Diaz underwent elbow surgery, knocking him out for multiple months. On the season, Scott has a 1.88 ERA and 15:2 K:BB across 14.1 innings. Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Secures first save Thursday
Scott picked up the save Thursday against the Giants, throwing a clean ninth inning with no strikeouts.
With Edwin Diaz out for multiple months due to elbow surgery, Scott nailed down his first save of the season Thursday. The expectation is that both Scott and Alex Vesia, the latter of whom has yet to give up an earned run while notching two saves through 8.2 frames, will share save opportunities for the Dodgers while Diaz is on the mend. Scott has been superb so far in his own right, posting a 0.84 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 9:1 K:BB across 10.2 innings.
