  • Braves' Skye Bolt: Signs with Atlanta

Bolt signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Feb. 23.

Bolt spent all of last season with the Brewers' Triple-A affiliate, where he slashed .257/.359/.367 across 248 plate appearances. The 30-year-old outfielder owns a .471 career OPS in the majors and is unlikely to crack the big leagues with Atlanta.

  • Brewers' Skye Bolt: Gets NRI from Crew

Bolt signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Friday and received an invitation to major-league spring training, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Bolt slashed .326/.385/.526 in Triple-A last season, though he was never able to put it together in the majors, where his numbers dropped to .198/.259/.330 across 116 plate appearances with Oakland. Milwaukee already has plenty of outfield talent at the major-league and minor-league levels, so Bolt will likely serve as organizational depth.

  • Athletics' Skye Bolt: Activated, booted off 40-man roster

The Athletics reinstated Bolt (knee) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday and outrighted him to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Bolt is healthy again after finishing off a four-game rehab assignment at Las Vegas over the weekend, but the Athletics don't have a spot available for him on the 28-man active roster and he's out of minor-league options. As a result, Bolt will lose his spot on the 40-man roster, but he'll stick in the organization now that he's already cleared outright waivers. Bolt hit .198 with four home runs and five stolen bases in 42 games prior to landing on the IL on Aug. 26.

  • Athletics' Skye Bolt: Two full rehab games during weekend

Bolt (knee) went 3-for-10 with two doubles and three RBI while playing all nine innings in two rehab games for Triple-A Las Vegas against Sacramento on Saturday and Sunday.

Bolt played entire games in center field during what was his third and fourth rehab outings with the Aviators, seemingly proving his previously ailing knee is back to full health. The 28-year-old hit safely in each game down on the farm as well, so his timing at the plate appears to be a non-issue after what's been a relatively modest amount of time on the shelf.

  • Athletics' Skye Bolt: Plays second straight rehab game

Bolt (knee) started and played seven innings in left field for Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday, going 1-for-4 with an RBI single in a win over Sacramento.

It was the second straight rehab start for Bolt, whose previously ailing knee appears to be close or all the way back to full health. Assuming he feels no residual effects from his workload the last two nights, Bolt may not need another rehab game before activation.

  • Athletics' Skye Bolt: Doubles in first rehab game

Bolt (knee) went 1-for-4 with a run-scoring groundout and an RBI double in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Sacramento on Wednesday.

The fact was Bolt able to play nearly a full game in center field in his rehab debut was of overriding importance, although the contributions with the bat were a nice bonus. Given he was thrust right into action defensively as opposed to being deployed in a DH role Wednesday, Bolt may not need more than another couple of rehab games with the Aviators before being deemed ready for activation.

  • Athletics' Skye Bolt: Placed on injured list

Bolt was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right knee patella subluxation Friday.

Bolt was hit by a pitch Thursday against the Yankees and will be unavailable for at least a week and a half after being diagnosed with a subluxation. Per the Associated Press, Bolt felt as if his kneecap "slid", but Athletics head trainer Nick Paparesta noted the team doesn't presently believe there is a lot of damage within the knee. Dermis Garcia was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas to take his place on the active roster.

Bolt entered Friday's loss to the Astros as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and remained in the game as a defensive replacement, hitting a two-run double in his first plate appearance before grounding out in his second one.

Bolt came through to slice a four-run Athletics deficit in half with his seventh-inning two-bagger, which brought home Jonah Bride and Vimael Machin. The timely double was particularly noteworthy for Bolt, considering it served as only his second extra-base hit in the last 12 games.

  • Athletics' Skye Bolt: On bench after Stevenson's call-up

Bolt is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Bolt went 0-for-6 while starting in each of the last three contests, but he salvaged some value by chipping in two stolen bases. The 28-year-old looks like he could be a candidate to move into a short-side platoon role moving forward, as the Athletics called up lefty-hitting outfielder Cal Stevenson from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday. Stevenson will start in center field with the Angels bringing righty Touki Toussaint to the hill, leaving no room in the starting nine for Bolt.

Bolt went 1-for-3 with an RBI single, a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Bolt entered Saturday's loss to the Giants as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and hit a two-run home run in his second of two plate appearances.

Bolt's ninth-inning homer didn't have an impact on the game result, but it extended a decent stretch of hitting for the 28-year-old. Bolt now owns a .250 average and .464 slugging percentage over his last 10 games, a sample during which he's belted both of his round trippers on the season and driven in five runs overall while adding a stolen base and scoring on three occasions.

  • Athletics' Skye Bolt: On bench Sunday

Bolt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
