  • Nationals' Daylen Lile: Belts two homers Tuesday

Lile went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Reds.

The 23-year-old outfielder launched a solo shot off Brady Singer in the fourth inning before adding a three-run homer off Luis Mey in the fifth. The big night snapped a 16-game power drought for Lile in which he was batting just .200 (11-for-55) with four doubles. On the season, Lile's slashing a somewhat disappointing .264/.331/.423 with five long balls, two steals, 19 RBI and 26 runs, but he may be turning things around -- he's hit safely in five straight games and has extra-base hits in three straight.

  • Nationals' Daylen Lile: Power surge continues Wednesday

Lile went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to Atlanta.

Lile didn't club his first homer of the season until April 17, but he's discovered his power stroke of late. The 23-year-old outfielder has rapped three homers in his past five games, piling up five extra-base hits in total during that stretch. Lile has hit safely in eight of his last 10 outings as well, picking up multiple knocks on five occasions to boost his season slash line to .282/.333/.437.

  • Nationals' Daylen Lile: Hot stretch continues with homer

Lile went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's loss against Atlanta.

Lile connected on his second homer of the season, pulling a Bryce Elder slider over the right-field fence to give Washington the lead in the fourth inning, though Atlanta would come back to win. After a slow start to April, the outfielder has picked it up of late, slashing .310/.355/.586 over his past seven games while hitting safely in nine of his past 10. Overall, the 23-year-old owns a .738 OPS with two homers, six doubles, nine RBI and 14 runs through 22 games.

  • Nationals' Daylen Lile: First home run of 2026

Lile went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during the Nationals' 10-5 loss to the Giants on Friday.

It took until the 20th game of the regular season for Lile to go long, with his two-run home run off Logan Webb in the fourth inning reducing the Nationals' deficit to 8-3. Despite the lack of power, Lile has had success getting on base, reaching base safely in seven of his last eight outings. Over that eight-game span, he has gone 10-for-34 (.294) with one steal, three RBI and four runs scored.

  • Nationals' Daylen Lile: Receiving first day off of 2026

Lile is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Though the left-handed-hitting Lile typically starts against left-handed pitching, he'll hit the bench Sunday for the first time in 2026 while the Giants send a tough southpaw in Robbie Ray to the bump. Through Washington's first 21 games of the season, Lile has produced a stellar .283 batting average but hasn't supplemented it with quality counting statistics (one home run, one stolen base, 13 runs and eight RBI).

  • Nationals' Daylen Lile: Two hits in Thursday's win

Lile went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's extra-inning win over the Pirates.

After opening the campaign with a seven-game hit streak, Lile cooled off in early April, but he may be heating up again. The 23-year-old outfielder has three multi-hit performances in the last five games, pushing his slash line on the season back up to .277/.310/.337. Lile is still looking for his first homer of 2026 through 19 contests, but he has banged out five doubles while adding one steal, six RBI and 11 runs.
