  • White Sox's Joe Rock: Promoted Tuesday

    The White Sox recalled Rock from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday. The left-hander was acquired from the Rays in exchange for Oliver Dunn in mid-May and is now on the cusp of his White Sox debut. Rock hasn't been particularly effective at the Triple-A level this year with a 4.88 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and 40:21 K:BB across 24 innings between the two organizations.

  • Rays' Joe Rock: Cut from big-league camp

    The Rays optioned Rock to minor-league camp Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Rock has allowed just one run and struck out nine over five innings this spring, but he's also issued six walks. The 25-year-old should get a chance in the Rays' bullpen this season, but he'll begin the year at Triple-A Durham.
