With closer Pete Fairbanks (hand) on the injured list, Faucher stepped up for the save Wednesday. The right-hander has yielded a lone earned run since the beginning of August and figures to serve as one of Miami's top options in the ninth inning while Fairbanks is on the mend. Faucher has a 3.77 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 64:32 K:BB with three saves (eight chances) in 59.2 innings this season.

Faucher could be part of a closing committee for the Marlins if Pete Fairbanks (hand) requires another IL stint, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Fairbanks left Monday's game with a recurrence of a nerve issue in his pitching hand, a condition which first landed him on the IL in late April. Faucher, who led Miami with 15 saves in 2025, figures to be in the mix for closing opportunities in Fairbanks' absence, along with Michael Petersen and Josh Ekness. "I think we'll just go into each day with -- on the pitching side -- what we have available and kind of what we can ask of them, and where we think it's the best place to go put guys," manager Clayton McCullough said after Monday's game. "[The] good thing is that a number of our guys have experienced pitching in a lot of different spots. So I think we'll just lean on that and go out there with the ones that we have available each day."
Faucher worked a perfect ninth inning Saturday without striking out a batter to record his second save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Nationals.
Pete Fairbanks tossed 25 pitches Friday and likely wasn't available, so closing duties fell to Faucher, and he got the job done. Faucher has a pristine 0.00 ERA in August, producing a 0.78 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB over 7.2 innings, but he had zero wins, saves or holds on the month coming into Saturday.

Miami was down 7-5 heading into the ninth, but after Faucher kept the game close in the top of the frame, his offense erupted for three runs off Philly closer Jhoan Duran to walk it off. Faucher has held the opposition off the board in seven of his 10 July appearances, but he's been tagged for a combined 10 runs in the other three, leaving him with a brutal 9.31 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB in 9.2 innings on the month.

The right-hander was the bridge between an impressive outing by Max Meyer and closer Pete Fairbanks in the ninth. It was Faucher's first hold since April 27 as the rest of the Miami bullpen remains extremely volatile in terms of roles and usage. Over 25 appearances and 24 innings this season, Faucher also has four wins and a save while producing a 4.13 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 27:20 K:BB.

Faucher recorded a career-high 15 saves in 2025, but the offseason addition of Pete Fairbanks bumps him down to an eighth-inning assignment. Faucher appears ready for Opening Day after delivering a 1.80 ERA and 5:2 K:BB in five spring innings, and he's a good bet to blow past the career-best 11 holds he produced in 2024.
Faucher will make $1.8 million in 2026 after losing his arbitration hearing with the Marlins on Saturday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Faucher had filed for $2.05 million, but he'll receive the lower of the two figures after posting a 3.28 ERA and 1.28 WHIP across 60.1 innings in 2025. The right-hander was summoned with two outs in the ninth inning after Valente Bellozo surrendered four runs to put the game in peril. Faucher gave up a single to Hunter Goodman before inducing a game-ending groundout to secure the victory. Faucher has been sharp of late, holding opponents scoreless in seven of his last eight appearances, and he needed just six pitches to wrap things up Thursday. On the season, the 29-year-old has converted 14 of 19 save chances while adding seven holds with a 3.28 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 56:22 K:BB across 57.2 innings.

Faucher looks to still have the edge over Ronny Henriquez for save chances, though the Marlins haven't produced a lot of those opportunities this month.
