Michael Baron@michaelgbaron11H agoAlso - the #Mets have given up 50 runs during this 5 game losing streak. The starting pitching is non-competitive at this point. And on a daily basis, neither the manager or the GM has the ability to explain or even sketch a picture on why this roster continues to fail.

Michael Baron@michaelgbaron11H agoAfter watching that game, and seeing how the #Mets were competitively checked out, the liberties the Cubs were taking on them and how bad their infield was tonight, it’s hard to really justify going into tomorrow’s game without some accountability type changes.

Mark Vientos committed 2 as the first baseman of the day, Marcus Semien 2, Bo Bichette & Francisco Lindor 1 each. 2 of those infielders are out of their natural position & are below average defenders on their best day. Run prevention!

Michael Baron@michaelgbaron11H agoI still can’t wrap my head around how the #Mets would even consider starting Brett Baty AND Mark Vientos - in places that are not their natural positions at that - with Francisco Lindor back in the lineup. It just blows my mind straight out of my head.
