Rushing went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 15-3 win over the Padres.

Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Back in lineup Wednesday
Rushing (head) will start at catcher and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Twins.
After he was removed prior to the third inning of Monday's 2-1 win after taking a foul tip to his catcher's mask, Rushing sat out Tuesday's 12-3 victory while the Dodgers put him through a second round of concussion testing. With Rushing exhibiting no symptoms of a concussion two days after his early exit, the Dodgers feel comfortable having him return behind the plate for the series finale Wednesday. Rushing should continue to serve as the Dodgers' top backstop until Will Smith (neck) is ready to come off the injured list.

Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Playing time up with Smith out
Rushing will start at catcher and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the White Sox.
For the seventh time in eight contests, the Dodgers will go with Rushing behind the dish. He's turned in a stellar .882 OPS over 132 plate appearances on the season and should be worth rostering in nearly every fantasy format while he's seeing steady starts. Rushing's playing time will tail off considerably once Will Smith (neck) is cleared to return from the 10-day injured list, however.

Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Blasts homer in four-hit game
Rushing went 4-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double in Sunday's 13-5 loss to the Angels.
Rushing recorded a hit in each of his at-bats, highlighted by a three-run homer off Jose Soriano in the sixth inning. It marked Rushing's first long ball since April 20. Fueled by a huge April, the 25-year-old is slashing .287/.363/.564 with eight homers, four doubles, 21 RBI and 18 runs across 113 plate appearances. Playing time can be difficult to come by with Shohei Ohtani entrenched at designated hitter and Will Smith behind the plate, though Rushing could see increased opportunities if Smith's neck injury results in additional absences or a stint on the injured list.

Rushing is starting as the designated hitter and batting leadoff Tuesday versus the Marlins.
Not only is Tuesday's start Rushing's first in the leadoff role but also his first of the season in the top half of the order. This will be the 25-year-old's third career start as the designated hitter, as that role is typically reserved for Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani is not in the batting lineup Tuesday as he focuses on his start as the pitcher.
