Morabito went 2-for-2 with a three-run double during the Mets' 10-4 win over the Rays on Wednesday.
Morabito entered the game as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning, and his single in the frame was his first major-league hit. He followed that up with a bases-clearing double in the seventh, giving the Mets a commanding 9-4 lead. Morabito was called up from Triple-A Syracuse by the Mets on Tuesday and could see some reps in the outfield in a rotational role.

The Mets recalled Morabito from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
Morabito will help restore some depth in the outfield after the Mets lost Luis Robert, who was claimed off waivers by the Orioles. The 23-year-old was in the majors for a brief spell earlier this season, going 0-for-11 with nine strikeouts at the plate. Morabito has slashed .254/.355/.388 with 13 home runs and 42 stolen bases across 114 contests for Syracuse this season. With Robert no longer around and Juan Soto limited to designated-hitter duties for the time being, Morabito could see some reps in the outfield down the stretch.

Morabito, 23, has slashed .253/.364/.390 with four home runs and 14 stolen bases across 41 contests with Syracuse this season. He can handle all three outfield spots and is expected to garner some starts against left-handed pitching.

The Mets selected Morabito's contract from Double-A Binghamton on Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Morabito spent all of the 2025 campaign at Binghamton, slashing .273/.348/.385 with six home runs and 49 stolen bases over 118 contests. The 22-year-old can play all three outfield spots and has logged 130 steals in 300 pro games. Morabito is now protected from the Rule 5 Draft.

Morabito is hitting .273 with six home runs, 45 steals, a nine percent walk rate and a 24 percent strikeout rate in 112 games for Double-A Binghamton.
The speedy outfielder has been at least 18 percent better than the average hitter in the leagues he has played in since rookie ball in 2023, but he has also steadily hit the ball on the ground too often. Morabito had a 55 percent groundball rate last year and has a 53.4 percent groundball rate this year, so while he attempts to pull the ball, unlike some speed-first outfielders, he hasn't had much success lifting the ball in the air consistently. The righty-hitting 22-year-old has stolen 104 bases in 231 games over the past two seasons.
