Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Playing, but affiliate uncertain
Eldridge (wrist) has resumed playing in games at the Giants' spring facility in Arizona, but the organization hasn't decided whether he'll begin the season at Triple-A Sacramento or Double-A Richmond, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Eldridge missed some time in spring training with a sore left wrist, and while the fact that he's resumed playing in simulated games in camp suggests he's healthy again, the Giants still want to be cautious with the 20-year-old. As a result, the team may prefer to have the first baseman stockpile at-bats in a controlled setting for the time being. Eldridge saw action at four different minor-league levels in 2024, but the vast majority of his playing time came at Single-A San Jose and High-A Eugene, with whom he combined to hit 22 home runs over 444 plate appearances. He logged just 75 plate appearances in 17 games between Richmond and Sacramento.

Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Battling sore hand
Eldridge won't play in Saturday's Spring Breakout game due to minor left hand soreness, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
While Eldridge's hand issue will be enough to keep him from playing Saturday, it doesn't sound like it's going to keep him from playing in any Triple-A games once the minor-league season begins. The 20-year-old first baseman breezed through San Francisco's farm system last season but slowed down considerably once he reached Triple-A. He'll likely spend most of the season with Sacramento, though a debut in 2025 is certainly on the table.

Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Reassigned to minors camp
The Giants reassigned Eldridge to minor-league camp Wednesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
He was one of a host of cuts the Giants made Wednesday. Eldridge managed to make it all the way to Triple-A Sacramento in 2024 as a 19-year-old (he's 20 now), so he's just a step away from the big leagues. However, it's not a surprise that he's a relatively early cut from major-league camp, as the top prospect could still use a little development. A debut at some point in 2025 is in play for Eldridge.

Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Receives spring training invite
The Giants have extended Eldridge an invitation to big-league camp during spring training, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The Giants' top prospect, Eldridge stormed through four levels in the minors in 2024 in his first full professional season, slashing .292/.374/.516 with 23 home runs. Eldridge is only 20, but the first baseman could push to make his major-league debut at some point during the 2025 season.

Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Promoted to Triple-A
The Giants promoted Eldridge from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.
After playing just nine games with Richmond, during which he went 10-for-37 with a homer and four RBI, Eldridge will now reach the Triple-A level after beginning the season at Single-A. The 19-year-old first baseman has slashed .293/.376/.534 with 23 home runs and 90 RBI across three minor-league levels. Depending on how well he does with Sacramento to close out the season, he could begin the 2025 campaign with the River Cats, and there's a solid chance he claims the big-league first base job at some point next year.

Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Rises to Double-A
Eldridge was promoted from High-A Eugene to Double-A Richmond on Tuesday.
Eldridge couldn't be stopped at High-A, slashing .333/.442/.615 with 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 35 runs scored and three stolen bases over 48 contests. The top prospect will close out the year with a taste of Double-A, which is where he is likely to begin in 2025. A strong campaign next year could position him for his major-league debut in the second half of 2025.
