Proctor, who turns 25 in a couple weeks, can play all over the infield and logged a 127 wRC+ at Double-A last season. He can do a little bit of everything, but is most likely a utility infielder, especially in this organization.
Proctor was added to the Rays' 60-man player pool Thursday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
A 23-year-old middle infielder who has yet to play above Low-A, Proctor has demonstrated a quality approach and hit tool in the lower levels, but he has yet to face age-appropriate competition in pro ball. He could be assigned to High-A or Double-A in 2021.
